The weather is in flux right now in our town but it looks like it will be a high of 72F each day till the start of June.

The weather slowly warms up here in the summertime and by the end of June it is pretty much getting up to near the 85F mark.

The really hot months here are July and August where the temps each day sit around the 95F spot for most of those two months. But when September hits it really cools down quickly and by the end of the month it can get downright cold. Heating is needed but not until January when it starts cooling down into the freezing zone, requiring a good space heater in the office each day to keep the hands warm. For now we get to enjoy low power bills for a while and then we will have to start running the air to keep the flat comfy for us during the daytime. I have a small mini split a/c unit in my bedroom so that I can stay nice and cool each night when I sleep without freezing my flatmate out in the process. I bought it for $230 and I bet it will pay for itself over a couple of summers because it saves me from having to run the main unit all night just to cool down my little bedroom. We don’t have a zone control HVAC system so having this little a/c unit really saves money with the power each month during the warmer months of the year.

I will write one more story and then take a little break and do a short meditation to calm down my mind.

It got a bit riled up this morning with the bank sending me a bunch of emails saying they need all of this information from me to keep my account up and running.

It is blocked right now and I am happy I have another account to use or else I would have no money to buy food and such. I think they will unblock it soon because I sent them all of the info they wanted. Heating device repair will be the next fire to put out as my space heater bit the dust last month and I am going to try and fix it this week. I am pretty good at fixing things, being an engineer and all, and I don’t mind tinkering around with things like this because it is actually kind of fun for me. I could call the heating corp and have them send someone out to fix it for me but I think I could fix the heating device just as fast as one of their people could. Once I am done with this I will go hit the streets and hand out some of our band’s business cards to the bars in town to see if anyone wants us to play at night. If no local businesses in town want us to perform then we will go to the big city nearby and hand out the cards to some local contractors in town.

I am still recovering from last week’s flu and will probably need a few more days before I am back to normal again.

• My energy is a bit low still as my body tries to regain its strength and hopefully I will also regain the weight that I lost over the past ten days or so.

I was so sick and in so much pain with a sore throat that I couldn’t eat for days and my body started to shrink as a result. I will eat more protein over the next few days and get that muscle back. The heating dealership is giving me this week off so that I can get my energy back and be good to go with my HVAC tech work next week. They will be getting busier soon and will need me there full time as the summer season arrives and all the people in town call them to get service for their systems in their homes. I already had an air conditioning tune up in my flat so I don’t have to worry about doing anything for the upcoming hot months that will be here in a few weeks. It will be a hot summer and I will be all set for the temps in my new flat. I have a central HVAC system that is really super efficient and my power bills are really low even when the weather is hot day and night. I have a couple fans I use to keep cool in my office and bedroom and don’t need the a/c that much just yet.

 

Heating and air conditioning system

I just got derailed from my normal workday with the bank asking me for some information.

I think I gave them everything they need and hopefully they will unfreeze my bank account and I can get back to banking and buying food.

It is not fun when the bank, where you think your money is safe and sound, freezes your account and you can’t access your money. I don’t have much money in there to start with and it is a wonder they are asking me anything at all. Anyways, I’m sure it will get fixed and my heating and cooling system will be able to keep running as usual each month without worrying about how to pay the bills. I have three more hours to get my work done online and shop for some food and stuff for my cats. I like shopping in the climate controlled store because it is nice and comfy there and usually when I go in the afternoons it is pretty quiet there as well. I will go there in two more hours when it slows down and get my food for the week and get food for my cats so they are happy too. I will teach yoga later for this HVAC supplier owner in his home and then head to the beach to get in a good workout with another friend. Today is a nice day out and it should be a good day to get out on the beach and get some sun. I am going to clean the a/c filter and get to work.

I have to go to the bank in a little while and see why they blocked my account.

• They asked me for some information and I supplied it, but now they are saying that I didn’t give them all the info they requested.

I guess I will just walk down there and talk to them in person so I can get my account working again. It is probably something simple that I missed and it is probably easier to go in person and get it fixed once and for all instead of sending these emails back and forth. The HVAC worker is coming over this afternoon to change out my furnace filter and I want to be home for that, so I better go now and get this bank thing done. I just hope I can communicate properly with the bank teller because my Spanish is flimsy at best. The new contractor in town has been helping me learn the language but it is taking me a long time to do so. I guess I can practice more each day than I have been and see if I can push it along a bit faster. I will be working at the HVAC business next week and there will be a lot of Spanish speaking when customers come in looking for heating and cooling equipment and I need to be able to talk with them. I think if I push myself I can learn this language once and for all and be able to talk with people on a regular basis instead of running away.

Commercial HVAC for sale

I am thinking about my family back home and if I should take a trip back there this summer or not. My brother lives in the Far East and doesn’t seem to be bothered that he isn’t around the rest of our family that much, but for me, well I really miss my mom’s company and the long beach walks we used to take after dinner at her house. I guess I moved overseas for a reason and I need to believe I am doing the right thing, but being away from the family for so long wears on me. HVAC system repairs is my main job here and it keeps me busy, but sometimes late at night while listening to my air purifier I think about if I should move back to be with my family. I guess time will tell me what to do and in the meantime I should just focus on the music that brought me here in the first place. My heating worker friend plays guitar and we make some really good music together and I guess that is why life has brought me over here. I just miss mom’s dinners and seeing the other people in my family on a regular basis like I used to do when I was living back home. I will go to the HVAC business today and hang out a bit with the cooling reps so I don’t sit home too much and feel sorry for not seeing my family anymore. I will find a way to get back but for now it is music time.

Duct cleaning

I fully intended to spend a good afternoon at house this Wednesday. It is my usual custom as a bachelor separate from a care in the world and a pretty nice paying task that nonetheless strains me during the labor week. I might go out with friends every now and then on a Wednesday, but I properly save that for a Wednesday or a holiday. Yes, I have come to enjoy Wednesdays as a afternoon where I just chill out and do nothing but play video games, read, or just watch videos or films or cable shows. It’s that afternoon of the week that just distresses me, where I have no responsibilities or obligations, save to enjoy myself, at least most of the time; So, you can imagine my frustration when my cooling system abruptly decided to deliver out on me just halfway through the afternoon. I offered up pretty abruptly. I’m trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, so I called out an Heating plus A/C serviceman… Unluckyly, my usual Heating plus A/C supplier of choice was extremely busy that afternoon, so no one would be able to come out until Wednesday! I was filled with dread as I faced down an entire afternoon separate from an cooling system in the middle of the summer, but also an entire night! As for the afternoon, the only thing that I could believe to do was go to the local library and get some serious reading done. I was quite thankful for the excellent air conditioner in the library. I absolutely ended up finishing a book that I had been meaning to finish for a while. It was around 5:30 when I decided I would go out to eat to stall for time before I would inevitably have to return to my warm box of a house to try and get some measure of rest. I chose a absolutely nice Chinese buffet place with a good cooling system. I swear I would have slept in the back if they would have let me!
