It’s 1 of those snowy afternoons as well as there isn’t a reason to go anywhere. I just want to sit inside my house, drink some tepid cocoa as well as study a book. I don’t have any major plans for the week as well as that is the best section of this week. My new home is absolutely comfortable overall as well as I do have a lot of the perks that someone who has been successful in life should have. I have a pretty nice car, a good lake house as well as my cat, Gibbon. I genuinely don’t care to have anything else. My new place has everything that makes myself and others comfortable. I don’t care to get out often so staying at the lake house is a lot of what I like doing. I have simply perfect heating as well as cooling in my house. Although I do own central heating as well as cooling I still use my portable space gas furnace more than anything. I just like the direct heat hitting my body as I sit in my chair. There genuinely isn’t anything like it until this week. I still use my portable space gas furnace however this week a big spider crawled out of it. I freaked out when I wondered if there was a nest in it as well as if so, how multiple spiders are in it? This thought is a nightmare to myself and others as well as I don’t know if I should now toss my portable space natural gas furnace outside. I’m confused about what to do as well as at the same time, I don’t want to mess with it. What if a spider got on my arm? I’m terrified of spiders, however maybe I spend money for someone to take it out as well as contact the HVAC company to find out what kind of portable space heating systems they may have or one they would recommend. What was a good afternoon now is a nightmare for me.

I live with a small family to whom I rent out a room.

They are all nice as well as I pretty much can do whatever I want as long as the late mornings I’m not overly loud.

I periodically eat dinner with the family or do things with them outdoors, however overall I kind of do my own thing. I can also say I’m not there very often however it’s nice that I have a place, although it’s just a study room, it’s still nicer than what a lot of people have, and so I will not complain about that. The only issue I have living there is that the temperature control isn’t exactly to my liking. Recently I purchased a portable natural gas furnace because it was pretty chilly in my room. I can’t exactly mess with the central thermostat settings because it’s not my home. I was using 2 or periodically 3 heavy blankets to keep myself sizzling at night. I asked if they didn’t mind if I purchased a portable natural gas furnace so I can keep control of the temperature of my room as well as they agreed. They said if the electric bill went up a bit, they might ask myself and others to spend money a tad more money, however overall it was completely fine. They still want myself and others to live comfortably as well as that’s nice that I have that. I will never complain about anything. There genuinely isn’t anywhere else for me to go as well as I’m absolutely young as well as just graduated from the university. I know when my work takes off as well as if I can afford it I will help this family in any way that I can. They have supported myself and others this far as well as I will show my gratitude. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later.

It feels that in my life with my 2 parents, my dad has control over everything.

It’s not genuinely that big a deal obviously.

My Dad is just glad in life in general. I think it’s because my dad does everything that he can to be sure our lives are phenomenal in every way imaginable; Dad has worked her butt off over the years as well as it has paid off. My Dad always wanted to be a stay at lakeside house Dad as well as take care of myself and others growing up as well as my dad worked 2 different tasks to help make sure that happened. I believe I shouldn’t say she is controlling but Dad does want to see my mother glad at all costs. My dad doesn’t genuinely like her health or if he’s weary. Dad will find a way to succeed at all costs. These afternoons she doesn’t have to work 2 tasks so Dad gets to spend more time with us at home, which is a big change before I turned 10. I barely saw the guy! Now that he’s at the lake house all the time Dad takes control of the tv, dinner chances as well as the temperature control of the house. I’m not genuinely a huge fan of him messing with the dial thermostat settings because she is never comfortable. This actually makes myself and others feel uncomfortable because one hour I recognize the nice air conditioning as well as an hour later I recognize the gas furnace on full blast. I don’t know if she is still trying to find comfort in being at the lake house but she is now messing with my livelihood. Regardless, I’m going to allow a bit of time although I hope Dad figures it out soon.

The big thing I hate about getting older is that technology keeps advancing, and kids these afternoons are growing up in a new world where everything is right at your fingertips.

I’m not going to lie, I am a little envious of what they have compared to what I had when I was younger however that is just a little bit.

This is going to sound a little boomerish however when I grew up my friend and I just lived life. There were no cell phones or iphones or internet or anything like that. My good friend and I were just on our bikes as well as beat on our friend’s parent’s door to see if they were home. That was a section of the adventure, but life was way simpler back in the afternoon. Obviously, there were some things we’d all like to change about the history of others as well as myself growing up although I felt my friends and I were freer… Curfews were about the sunshine setting for dinner. I miss it, however the rapid advancement of technology can make life fun in other ways; You can call all your friends or family at will, you have movies, books as well as video games at your fingertips. If you need to learn how to cook something or discover how to change a car tire you can just look it up on your cell iphone or laptop, and recently, my first child purchased as well as installed a smart thermostat in my home. I have a cell iphone however don’t know how to use it very well. My child thankfully is a local HVAC worker who works for one of the biggest heating as well as cooling dealerships in the area so she knows her stuff, but just like everything I said before, now I have temperature control in my home. My son is all up for myself and others because I couldn’t do it however this is another good tech advancement that amazes me.

I have had multiple concerns with my health over the last years as well as it’s becoming problematic for my normal care; It’s getting harder for myself and others to walk as well as I have to take a spinal injection once a week to help myself and others even do that.

I’m not even at such a seasoned age.

I’m currently 35 years seasoned as well as my body is shutting down on myself and others as well as it’s tough, then my friends are still out as well as about, doing things with their children as well as I’m here pondering if one afternoon I’ll be in a wheelchair. I know that’s really going to be the end result however not now, not within the next 5 years I hope. I have 2 good children – one is 3 well as I barely can do things for him when she wants attention, but when I go through such awful pain I have to take medication as well as I have to wait it out until it kicks in! During this phase of waiting I can’t walk or anything. If I have to use the restroom during that phase it’s not great; The other afternoon when most people was at school or child care I went down. I couldn’t genuinely transfer however lucky enough I stumbled to the couch. I sat there as well as the new home started getting colder as the weather wasn’t good outside. I couldn’t reach the dial thermostat because it was in the study room. I was in so much pain I couldn’t move. My meds were in the wallet on the couch which I was lucky to have there, however it still takes time to kick in; At that moment I realized I’m really going to have to invest in a new smart thermostat as well as have an HVAC tech install it. I know I can’t. This dial thermostat I currently use isn’t going to work for myself and others going forward.

Heated floors throughout the house are going to be amazing and I also will be excited to set barefoot on them when the HVAC tech completes them

My husband is going on a hockey tournament trip for a week starting this weekend. This guy loves to skate but will never be a professional. He loves to play with his friends and they have won some small tournaments around the country. I do like that he gets away from time to time. I value the days I have time alone and can spend time with my friends but if he’s gone for 3 or more days, I definitely start to miss him. This time when he goes on his next hockey tournament which is expected to be about a week I will be having an HVAC technician install heated floors in the house. I made an appointment with the HVAC company a few weeks back. I’m pretty excited and I’m sure my husband will be happy when he sees it after the hockey tournament. I figured this would be a nice addition to our home since he says his feet are always cold. Makes sense to me since he is always in his skates on the ice. So the foyer, living room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom are going to be worked on. I thought about having the spare bedroom done as well but we hardly go in there and it’s rare that anyone comes over. I guess down the line I’ll probably have it done. Heated floors throughout the house are going to be amazing and I also will be excited to set barefoot on them when the HVAC tech completes them. I wish he left right now so I can get the heated floors installed but I have to be patient.

Got a call today about an issue with an HVAC system.

Just another routine Monday I guess. Something wrong with the thermostat or furnace or whatever. I’m not really concerned because it’s just another day, another dollar and of course, it’s just another job. I arrived around 11 am Monday and this younger guy named John answered the door. He was wearing a hoodie with shorts and flip flops and said, “get in, it’s cold out there.” I find it kind of strange that he is wearing shorts and flip flops since he is the one who said he was cold waking up with a possible furnace problem. No matter, it’s not my job to judge but to fix the issue so John here can live comfortably. So I noticed that the dial furnace was turned to 75 degrees but the house now was at 59 degrees. It’s definitely getting colder in here. So I took a look at the HVAC system and after some work knew that the system was shot and the main reason is that the air filters haven’t been changed in forever. There was so much dust and debris on these that I was surprised the HVAC system didn’t break sooner. I asked John, “when was the last time your air filters were changed?” John just shrugged and said he has been here for 5 years and not once they have been changed.” I had to tell him that I had bad news and that a new HVAC system will need to be put in and he didn’t seem happy at all. He had to call his roommate and after a few minutes he asked, ”what’s the damage?”
