I think I am going to take a roadtrip this August with my bandmate and his lady to do some gigs in other towns. We have had our share of ups and downs over the years but have managed to stick together and make some great songs. One problem we had for a while was that my voice is a lot stronger than my bandmates and when he tried to sing he felt like my voice was drowning him out all of the time. It’s kind of like trying to talk with a loud HVAC system running behind you. We solved that issue by lowering the volume on my mic when he wanted to sing a song. We now play in air conditioned bars in the summer and heated clubs in the winter in the ski regions in the north. I want to do a little road trip this August to get away from this town because it gets way too packed with tourists and it is tough to get around town on my bike. The local businesses also get too packed and it is tough to go shopping for food each week in the air conditioned stores. By the time August hits you are so tired of all of the tourists filling the streets that you just want to get away and escape to a quiet place for the month. A lot of the local contractors shut their doors for the whole month of August and head to their climate controlled cabins in the mountains for a month to relax and get some peace.

Part of me wants to travel somewhere for a while and get away from this small town where I’ve been living for the past three or so years. I just took a trip to the States, but now that I am looking at the calendar it was already four months ago. My mom seems so far away, and the dinners we used to have every week at her house seems like a lifetime ago. I just don’t fit in the American Dream anymore and when I go back I kind of feel out of place there nowadays. My local contractor friend works so much that he hardly has a minute to see me when I go back, and working for him at his local business is about the only way I get to see him anymore. This is the same story with almost all of my friends and the only people that are easy to visit are the retired folks like my parents and older friends. My mom was a heating supplier and she retired about ten years ago now and she always has time for me when I go home to visit. I just hope my stepdad lives a lot longer so my mom is not left alone with me being way over here doing my thing. I work for an HVAC business here part time while I chase my dreams of playing music in a band. I guess I will know the fate of our band in the next couple of years and that will give me a good sign of where I should be living.

I am trying to decide if I should buy more shares of this stock that I am holding 10K shares of. I paid 85 cents a share a couple months ago when I bought them and now the stock is down to 17 cents a share. I just don’t know if the company is going to survive or go bankrupt, that is the gamble that we take when buying stocks like this. If I decide to buy $2000 of shares I could get almost 12,000 more shares, putting me up to about 22000 total shares. My HVAC rep told me that the company will survive but it is going to take them a couple more years to get their act together. If I had 22K shares and the stock managed to hit the $10 mark one day I would have almost a quarter million dollars. But if it tanks and goes to zero then my heating and cooling savings will dwindle down to zero. It is tricky because I have no idea if this company is going to make it or not, all I know is that they have been working on making cars for nine years now and just started producing them. The air conditioning system and heating system in the cars is really good and it is a good selling point, but the $200K price tag of the car scares me because who has that kind of money to shell out for a car? I’m really not sure what to do but I guess time will decide for me pretty soon.
The heating contractor is sleeping
Today is a hot one and I am going to relax in the flat for a while until it cools down a bit out there.
I’m down to four more stories to write before giving myself a little break. I will do a meditation session in my cool office while my cats sleep at my feet. They are really relaxed cats and spend most of their waking hours trying to find a place to sleep. We have a nice flat here and it kind of feels like a buddhist monastery with the calmness that pervades the entire living space. I have a good meditation area and a good yoga place for us, along with a lot of candles and incense. The heating device we use in the winter time keeps us warm while we do our yoga and when the temps get really hot we have a mini split a/c unit in the living room where we practice the yoga routines. Today is a hot one and I am going to relax in the flat for a while until it cools down a bit out there. I don’t have the HVAC system running in the day yet because the temps aren’t high enough to warrant the use of it just yet, and my little fans are doing a great job of keeping me cool while I do my work online. I think in a month or so it is going to be too hot for the fans and I will have to bite the bullet and run some cool air through the flat. The ductwork is getting cleaned next week by this HVAC worker and we should be all set for the hot weather pretty soon.

I recently bought a up-to-date vehicle & I feel certainly spoiled for quite a lot of reasons, then first of all, my previous vehicle was on its absolute last leg when I finally decided to get a up-to-date one. It was, however, a genuinely reliable car, & one that had honestly reached over 200,000 miles while still being quite functional. That being said, I would need to take it to the mechanic shop more & more often! Moreover, the a/c had given out about 9 months prior. Thankfully, the a/c stopped working right around November, when things were getting chillier. The heat was still working okay. However, by the time June came around, I knew that I couldn’t sit not having an a/c in my vehicle anymore. It was honestly one of the main things that convinced me to get a up-to-date vehicle. My commutes to toil we’re getting more & more brutal, as this summer time has been quite hot, even for this area. Anyway, that is one of the reasons why I feel so spoiled by my up-to-date car. It has one of the most amazing a/cs I have ever experienced in any vehicle! Perhaps I am overreacting because it had been so long since I had any air conditioning in my vehicle, but, I could swear that cranking up the a/c to full power created an certainly cool & refreshing paradise in the cabin of my car. I also knew that my up-to-date automobile would keep me comfortable in the coming winter, thanks to a robust boiler & heated seats!
A Monday spoiled by a broken cooling system
I fully intended to spend a great morning at property this Monday.
It is my common custom as a bachelor without a care in the world & a pretty fine paying task that nonetheless strains me while in the toil week.
I might go out with friends every now & then on a Monday, despite the fact that I properly save that for a Tuesday or a holiday. Yes, I have come to enjoy Mondays as a morning where I just chill out & do nothing however play video games, read, or just watch videos or motion pictures or TV shows. It’s that morning of the week that just distresses me, where I have no responsibilities or obligations, save to enjoy myself, at least most of the time. So, you can imagine my frustration when my a/c swiftly decided to provide out on me just halfway through the morning. I provided up pretty swiftly. I am trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, so I called out an Heating & Air Conditioning worker; Unblessedly, my common Heating & Air Conditioning supplier of option was severely tied up that morning, so no one would be able to come out until Tuesday! I was filled with dread as I faced down an entire morning without an a/c in the middle of the summer, however also an entire evening! As for the morning, the only thing that I could think to do was go to the local library & get some extreme reading done. I was quite thankful for the excellent air conditioning in the library. I honestly ended up finishing a book that I had been meaning to finish for a while. It was around 5:30 when I decided I would go out to eat to stall for time before I would inevitably have to return to my sizzling box of a home to try & get some measure of rest. I chose a genuinely nice Chinese buffet venue with a fantastic a/c. I swear I would have slept in the back if they would have let me!
