I broke down yesterday and bought some bacon strips so I could make a tasty egg omelet with them.

I’m not sure what the rule is with eating bacon when it comes to the frequency you should be eating it, but not having bacon for many months I think I am okay to eat it a few times this month.

I think I read somewhere that you can eat 60 grams a day, or two ounces, and not have any issues from the fallout. Two ounces is very little meat, but if you are making an omelet it’s enough. The heating repair worker I knew ate bacon every single day for most of his life and still lived to be 90 years old. I guess it comes down to genetics and exercise routines, but 90 years old with a bacon filled life sounds like a good one to me. Anyway, today I will run the air conditioning system a bit to cool us down as the temps are going to be really up there from what I have heard. I will work at home and not go to the beach till later in the afternoon when things calm down a bit. There is a music fest tonight at this local business and we are going to sit outside by the portable a/c devices they have for keeping people cool and listen to the bands play. My band is going to play tomorrow at some point once this festival ends and it should be a fun time with all of the people here in town.

I think I am going to need all new crowns on my teeth soon because they are wearing down and my bite is not like it was. I can feel when I am chewing that my jaw moves differently than it did 30 years ago because my teeth are worn down. I’m looking like those people who are missing all their teeth and have that nasty overbite, so I guess I will lumber on into the dentist office and see what they have to say. I bet I grinded off a few millimeters from my teeth, and the local business is going to have a field day when they look at my mouth. I don’t know how much all the new caps over my teeth would cost but it can’t be cheap. Okay, I just talked to my local contractor friend and he said that it costs about $20K to get all of the teeth crowned. I’m sure it isn’t a fun process to get done, but once it is finished then I would have a good bite again and probably look better too. I will go to the HVAC company later today to talk with the heating rep, as she got her teeth all capped and I want to see how they look. I just don’t want my teeth to look like piano keys as I see some people looking who got new teeth. This cooling supplier got his done and they were too big and too white and he looked like a piano, which is not the look I am going for.

Today is the 6th of May and all is well in my world.

We had some beach ball games last evening and a birthday celebration, with about 15 of us hanging out till the sun went down. We listened to music, raced each other drinking beer, and played a lot of volleyball. Then my friend and I rode our bikes along the paseo and went to watch a concert at a park nearby, and if that isn’t a fun night then I don’t know what is. We heard some really cool bands last night and my local contractor friend told me to look online for them to see when they will play at this local business in town next. They were singing in Catalan last night, which is a language that I don’t know much about at all, but they really sounded cool and we stayed till the wee hours of the night listening and eating some really good food. So today I am going to sit in my air conditioned office and get some work done online for a few hours before I head out for a ride in the natural climate control of the great outdoors. I woke up pretty early this morning for some reason but I feel like I slept quite well. The heating dealership is open today and they are going to have a lot of stuff on sale as the winter season ends and they make way for the new a/c units and things for the warmer weather. I will take a peak there later and see what they have.

I get to meet a lot of cool people when I am out in the field and it takes away from the monotony of working each day in the same place

It is 111 in the afternoon now and I am rounding third base with my work for the day. It is going to be a fun weekend with many parties going on. My life has kind of become one long quest for partying and playing music. I guess this is a good life right? The older I get the more I realize that playing and doing something you love is the key to success in life. I work at the HVAC business each week for money doing heating and cooling repairs and focus on fun mainly after work. I mean, you still have to earn a living, but if you can do so with a minimal amount of fret then you have lots of time and energy to do things that bring you joy. I think doing ductwork cleaning is probably my favorite job at the local business because I get to leave the office for a while and go into people’s houses to work. I get to meet a lot of cool people when I am out in the field and it takes away from the monotony of working each day in the same place. My HVAC rep boss is really nice and lets me work there whatever hours I want each week, which is usually around the 15 to 20 hour mark so that I have time to play and have fun. I will go soon to the store and get a bunch of food and then I am going to get my yoga done and head off to the beach for guess what, a party!

I am getting down to the nitty gritty soon with my work and then I will take a little break.

I have about an hour of cleaning to do before Monday comes and my friend arrives. But I can knock it out Monday morning if I need to, as long as I get my shopping done this weekend it will all be good. Today is a bit busier than normal in this town as there is a concert this weekend and a lot of people are in town for it. My bandmate wants to play for this local business later but I think the concert will drown out our music and it is better to wait. We haven’t played in a week and I am sure he is getting antsy to play, but I also have a beach party tonight with my volleyball friends and really don’t want to miss it. These are my two loves that are always vying for my time, along with my HVAC tech job working for the local contractor. That is pretty much the extent of my life these days, which is fine with me because it is a pretty fun life to be leading for someone who is almost 60 years old. A lot of my friends run their local businesses and don’t have time to do anything like I am doing, which makes me even more grateful for having my part time job at the HVAC company. I have so much free time to put towards music and sports and it is keeping me young at heart.

I recently bought a new automobile and I feel absolutely spoiled for quite a lot of reasons. First of all, my previous automobile was on its absolute last leg when I finally decided to get a new one. It was, but, a absolutely reliable car, and one that had absolutely reached over 200,000 miles while still being quite functional. That being said, I would need to take it to the mechanic shop more and more often. Moreover, the cooling system had given out about 9 months prior. Thankfully, the cooling system stopped working right around September, when things were getting chillier. The heat was still working okay. However, by the time June came around, I knew that I could not rest not having an cooling system in my automobile anymore. It was absolutely one of the main things that convinced me to get a new vehicle. My commutes to labor we are getting more and more brutal, as this summer time has been quite hot, even for this area. Anyway, that’s one of the reasons why I feel so spoiled by my new car. It has one of the most amazing air conditioner units I have ever experienced in any vehicle! Perhaps I am overreacting because it had been so long since I had any air conditioner in my vehicle, and but, I could swear that cranking up the cooling system to full power created an absolutely cool and refreshing paradise in the house of my car. I also knew that my new automobile would keep me comfortable in the coming winter, thanks to a robust furnace and heated seats!

I fully intended to spend a relaxing afternoon at dwelling this Monday.

• It is my proper custom as a bachelor without a care in the world & a pretty good paying task that nonetheless strains me during the work week.

I might go out with friends every now & then on a Monday, but I constantly save that for a Monday or a holiday. Yes, I have come to adore Mondays as a afternoon where I just chill out & do nothing however play video games, read, or just watch videos or movies or television shows. It’s that afternoon of the week that just distresses me, where I have no responsibilities or obligations, save to adore myself, at least most of the time, however so, you can imagine my frustration when my air conditioner abruptly decided to supply out on me just halfway through the afternoon. I gave up pretty quickly. I’m trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, so I called out an Heating & A/C specialist, but unfortunately, my proper Heating & A/C company of option was extremely busy that afternoon, so no one would be able to come out until Monday! I was filled with dread as I faced down an entire afternoon without an air conditioner in the middle of the summer, however also an entire evening! As for the afternoon, the only thing that I could know to do was go to the local library & get some drastic learning done. I was quite thankful for the excellent cooling system in the library. I very ended up finishing a book that I had been meaning to finish for a while. It was around 5:30 when I decided I would go out to eat to stall for time before I would inevitably have to return to my boiling box of a house to try & get some measure of rest. I chose a very nice Chinese buffet site with a fantastic air conditioner. I swear I would have slept in the back if they would have let me!
