Ten more stories to write for the morning, which means about another thirty minutes of work and then Gloria is done for the morning. She still has to do some other tasks online, but she is going to spend most of the morning in quiet contemplation and meditation. Gloria saw a video of herself on the beach and she has aged so much in the past few years, which tells her that she needs to slow it down a bit so she can last a bit longer. Gloria always thought she’d live to 98 like the HVAC worker did, but the way that she is aging she doesn’t know if she is going to make it that far. Gloria knows it doesn’t matter in the end as long as you are enjoying the ride for the most part. She’s had a rough three or so years, losing most of her HVAC system work savings, but now it looks like it could bounce back in the next five years. Gloria has lost many things recently, her dad being the most taxing one to get over. She lost the love of her life, one which is gone forever now, and all of that $150K that she saved so diligently over the years. But Gloria still has her job at the cooling corp and that is a lifesaver. She has income from some job she does in the States and that covers her food each month, along with some other cooling service jobs here and there for the local contractor.

 

Energy saving help

Wendy has put many miles on her body in her 58 years, and now it looks like it is catching up to her. She needs new teeth, knees, and shoulders to get her body back to what it was several years ago. She could also use a new elbow with the tennis elbow she’s been having for more than eight years. Wendy thinks it would cost her about $125K to get all of that work done, which means she will have to do with the old worn out parts she has now because that’s too much money. The local contractor has lots of work for her at the HVAC business, but there is no way Wendy could save that kind of money to get all of the work done. She thinks she can service her shoulders with some rehab, and maybe even the same for her knees, but her teeth may need to be updated. Wendy has to wait for her HVAC technology stock to mature before she can get her teeth done. She believes the cooling corp stock will blossom in the next three or four years. Wendy will get them all capped actually and work on her shoulders and knees in the meantime to save her that money from having to get them updated or repaired. She may need to visit the local dentist and see who she had her teeth done with and get a price for them just so she knows. Wendy can work a bit more doing her HVAC specialist work and save a bit that way.

 

 

Contractor

Today is a big morning with the changing of the litter box. Martha is going to try and train her cats to go to the toilet over several months. They have a kit you can order and it will train any cat to use the toilet after several months so you can avoid the litter altogether. This is her plan because she doesn’t like going through so much each morning with cleaning up after her two cats, who both seem to pee way more than the amount of water they drink weekly. HVAC system repairs will be on the agenda next week as Tracy starts this new HVAC job for a customer. Today is Thursday though and Tracy needs to get ready for her guest who is coming in two more mornings. He is a heating tech and is staying for a morning or so before he heads off to this dance competition in another town for seven days. Tracy hasn’t seen him in maybe three or so years, ever since his ex and him broke up. They all worked for this local contractor at that time, and even though they broke up, she stayed friends with him because they have fantastic talks and get along well. Tracy has an air conditioned guest room that he will be staying in and she just needs to wash it up a bit before he arrives on Monday. They will talk about the industry a bit and maybe cook breakfast and eat together before he leaves the next morning.

Beth had several beers last night, she thinks. She is doing the math in her mind and she believes she had five total from when she got to the beach to when she ended up getting home around midnight. Beth knows it could have been worse, but she normally tries to keep it under three beers to save her liver and kidneys. Last night was a massive music festival and birthday party and things got a bit out of hand with the beer drinking. This week she will drink a ton of lemon water and sit in AC comfort while she lets her body reclaim. This town is not an easy town to quit drinking, considering every corner there is someone popping the top off of a can of Estrella. The local contractor typically has cold beer at work for the workers when they quit for the morning, so even going to work as an HVAC specialist isn’t a safe haven from drinking. Beth knows she needs to move to a buddhist monastery for a while to curb the drinking, but she is not sure that is going to happen anytime soon. She has to write about heating and cooling devices this week at home and plan on taking her time getting the HVAC technology work done as she has no commitments till 7pm tonight when she plays some ball on the beach. Her temperature control system for her office is basically a small fan for now, as the temps are still low enough not to warrant her mini split a/c system.

We broke down on Monday and bought some bacon strips so we could make a tasty egg omelet with them. We are not sure what the rule is with eating bacon when it comes to the frequency you should be eating it. However, not having bacon for several months means it’s okay to eat it several times this month. We read somewhere that you can eat 50 grams a morning, or two ounces, and not have any troubles from the fallout. Two ounces is little meat, but if you are making an omelet it’s enough. The heating service worker we knew ate bacon every single morning for most of her life and still lived to be 95 years old. We know it comes down to genetics and exercise routines, but 95 years old with a bacon filled life sounds like a fantastic one to us. Anyway, this week we will run the a/c a bit to cool us down as the temps are going to be up there from what we have heard. We intend to work from home and not go to the beach till later in the afternoon when things calm down a bit. There is a music fest tonight at this local business and we are going to sit outside by the portable cooling units they have for keeping people cool and listen to the bands play. Our band is going to play tomorrow at some point once this festival ends and it should be awesome with all of the people here in town.

We are going to need all new crowns on our teeth soon because they are wearing down and our bites are not like they were.

Both of us can feel when we are chewing that our jaws move differently than they did 20 years ago because our teeth are worn down.

We are looking like those people who are missing all their teeth and have that nasty overbite, so we know we will head on into the doctor’s office and see what they have to say. We bet we grinded off a few millimeters from our teeth, and the local business is going to have a field morning when they look at our mouth. Both of us don’t know how much all the new caps over our teeth would cost but it can’t be cheap. Okay, we just talked to our local contractor friend and she said that it costs about $21K to get all of the teeth crowned. We are sure it isn’t a fun process to get done, but once it is finished then we would have a fantastic bite again and also look better too. We will go to the heating and AC company later this week to talk with the heating rep, as she got her teeth all capped and we want to see how they look. We just don’t want our teeth to look like piano keys as we see some people looking who got new teeth. This cooling contractor got her done and they were too big and too colorless and she looked like a piano, which is not the look we are going for.

Christy woke up pretty early this morning for some reason but she felt like she slept quite well

This week is the 8th of May and all is well in Christy’s world. She had some beach ball games last evening and an anniversary celebration, with about 10 of them hanging out till the sun went down. They listened to music, raced each other drinking beer, and played lots of volleyball. Then they rode their bikes along the paseo and went to watch a concert at a park nearby. If that isn’t a fun night then Christy doesn’t know what is. She heard some cool bands last night and her local contractor friend told her to look online for them to see when they will play at this local business in town next. They were singing in Catalan last night, which is a language that she doesn’t know much about at all, but they sounded cool. Christy stayed till the wee hours of the night listening and eating some fantastic food. So this week she is going to sit in her air conditioned office and get some tasks done online for a few hours before she heads out for a ride in the natural temperature control of the fantastic outdoors. Christy woke up pretty early this morning for some reason but she felt like she slept quite well. The heating company is open this week and they are going to have so many things on sale as the winter time season ends and they make way for the new cooling units and things for the warmer weather. Christy will take a peak there later and see what they have.
