I started cooking with my parents when I was only four years old. They taught myself and others how to mash potatoes and I was in heaven when I ate them and realized I had helped with the process. I credit them both for instilling a appreciate for cooking in my mind that has carried over into the modern morning. Although I offered up the method of cooking professionally when I quit my task as an assistant cook and went to college for IT, I still cook nearly all of my meals throughout the week. It’s a satisfying experience for me, and I even created a sitting workstation in the home office that I can use to keep working while using the fry pan or soup pot. I don’t have to run back and forth to my house office this way, at least when I’m in the process of cooking, eating, or seeing TV from the screen in the kitchen that I can particularly see from the home office counter. As much money as I save by cooking all of my food, I also save on heating and cooling repair and repairs by signing up for service contracts. You spend my money an annual rate and it includes four repair appointments and filter updatements. My Heating and Air Conditioning worker will top-off my refrigerant while running diagnostics on the whole system to make sure there aren’t any problems that need to be fixed. One thing that she always mentions when she arrives is how nice the condo smells! It’s always from whatever food I have cooking in the home office, so I always offer some to him when he’s ready to leave if the meal is finished and ready to serve.

My appreciate for hiking in the woods started early.

I believe fortunate to have a dad who was an avid outdoorsman in her younger years.

Before she met my mother, she went on hiking and hunting trips all of the time with her friends that she lived with at the time. Back then my dad was living in southern MI and would occasionally drive into southern Ontario to hike near Lake Huron. But she and her friends are now all scattered around the country in several sites. She hasn’t seen any of her high college friends in ages, and during the years since my father hasn’t easily made any modern friends to be completely honest. Her task consumes a lot of her time and whenever she is willing to do something outside, the most I can do is get him to acbusiness myself and others on a short hiking trip. More often than not I’m going on my hiking trips completely alone, despite the fact that I don’t mind. It gives myself and others a option to clear my head and figure out solutions to problems that are grappling with my mind throughout the week. The fresh air is nice for my head and exercise is nice for my sedentary body. If I get too warm when I’m out in the woods hiking, I suppose that I can come house and cool off with their air conditioner set to a cold setting. It’s nice having a strong air conditioner that rarely struggles to keep my condo nice and cold when it’s sizzling outside. I can’t imagine how awful it would be if I was stuck with a awful cooling system that never worked as well as I hoped.

My plan was to “rough it” and spend 2 weeks at the base of the mountains living off the land.

This is something I prefer to do every few years, just to get in touch with our roots and remember what life is all about.

I have a small cabin, with the necessities of life, however nothing extra. When I stay here I split our own wood, carry our own water, and find our own food, then last year I had a bit of a rough time, because Winter came early and a rockslide closed down the only road out of here. I spent 2 weeks living in that cabin, providing our own heating and living off the land for food. The condo had no electricity, so a small gas furnace in the center of the room is the only source of heating that I have. This means that during the Winter weeks the gas furnace needs to be burning basically 24/7, because when it goes out even for a few hours the temps inside the condo plummet. It is a wood burning gas furnace that can also use natural gas (except that I don’t have any natural gas), so every day I have to split more wood. As it stands I have enough firewood to last for more than two weeks, however unless I am sick or injured I cut more every day. The gas furnace is the difference between life and death, so cutting firewood isn’t something I do “when I feel prefer it” it’s something I do every day! You can never have enough firewood.

My wife used to labor at a bakery and sincerely she made some of the best food ever! Of course I knew that because of her apartment cooked meals, although she l gained so several different recipes at the bakery and she sincerely made the food better than anybody else could.

When customers would go to the bakery they would always request her, and she always said she would only labor in the deli portion of the bakery though when the temperature control settings were just right.

A lot of the time, the boss would not supply enough cooling in there so it would become way too warm. He wanted to save on the bi-weekly bills and everybody hated that… But it was different when our wife was working, he let her crank the cooling plan as much as she wanted because she attracted a lot of customers to the place to make big time sales. Eventually though, our wife said she wanted to start her own business. She took all her savings and also gained a business loan and put everything into her own bakery business. She told me that I had to help get the perfect Heating & Air Conditioning plan for the place so that they would be comfortable. She said to make sure the Heating & Air Conditioning plan was energy efficient and she gave me a budget to labor with. I ended up working with some friends to get a powerful ductless multi split system. The people I was with and I installed the plan on our own and it genuinely wasn’t difficult, fortunately a single of our buddies is a certified professional too, so nobody could say it wasn’t installed by a certified expert. The plan has built in air purification and it’s a single thing that attracts a lot of customers. But the main thing is our wife’s cooking, everybody can’t get enough of it!

Isn’t it ridiculous and unfair that we have to make the most important choices in our lives while still too young to know what we are doing? After I graduated high school I was presented with some large choices about our future, and I had neither the perspective nor the wisdom to know which one was right.

I listened to advice from our elders, however that didn’t help much.

Old people tell young people to do the things they wished they had done, and it’s not a basis for making your own life decisions. Instead of choosing school, I chose the Heating and A/C program in the local trade school, because it felt enjoy the smart decision at the time. Almost twenty years later I am here to confirm that it was the right choice, and I am certainly thrilled with our life as an Heating and A/C tech. Several of our ancient classmates went to school, to varying degrees of success, however all of them came away with a pile of student loan debt. I did not, because the cost of the Heating and A/C certification program at trade school was a fraction of the cost of school tuition. I was also able to secure a section time task with an Heating and A/C business, which gave myself and others expensive field experience and helped offset the cost of our schooling. When I got our Heating and A/C certification, I had zero dollars in student loan debt! That got our Heating and A/C job started on the right foot, and I was able to secure a full time cooling tech position almost immediately
