A few weeks ago, I went to visit our Grandma.

• Currently she lives in a retirement community with her little pet Charlie.

The two of us lost our Grandfather a couple years ago plus ever since then, both of us got her the pet so that she doesn’t recognize alone. The community that she lives in is great. It’s on a golf course plus there is a good clubhouse. It has a pool, a gym, a eating establishment, plus they have something happening every night. She has a lot of friends, plus they spend a lot of time at the clubhouse. Anyway, that night as I was getting ready for bed, I noticed that it was a bit hot in her house, so I decided to turn down the temperature on the control unit, however for some reason, that didn’t work, plus her house still felt hot even after 2 hours with the air conditioning system running. I had to go grab the fan that she had in the living room plus that is how I was able to sleep through the night. The next afternoon, I asked our Grandma about the air conditioning system, plus she said she had noticed that it wasn’t cooling plus it was before. I asked her the last time she had it serviced, plus she couldn’t remember. So, I decided to change the filter, which was a bit clogged, plus then I made an appointment with an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company to get her air conditioning system serviced. From now on, I will need to make sure I schedule her Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C appointments because I guess this is something that our Grandfather diagnosed before both of us lost him.

Bad air quality in various areas is an ongoing issue. I happen to live in 1 of those areas that has bad air quality. I did our best to combat it. I ended up buying 4 portable media air cleaners & I have to say that while it did not completely service the bad air quality that gets into our home, it did in fact improve it highly to the point where all of us could all breathe much easier & have little to no dust sensitivity type symptoms. If I had the money to invest I would just get a whole apartment media air cleaner, however those things are way too costly for our budget. But the portable media air cleaners seem to be doing ok. I spent a few hundred dollars versus thoUnited Statesnds & got a similar result. Because when you have this bad of air quality in your area even a whole apartment air purification plan will not completely wipe it out love several think. I found this out from a neighbor of mine who actually has a whole apartment media air cleaner. I go in his home & it is not much weird than mine with our 4 portable media air cleaners compared to his whole apartment media air cleaner. With there being not much of a difference as I found out, I do not think so bad in not being able to afford a whole apartment media air cleaner. I am totally blissful with what I have & blissful in the fact that it does actually do a little bit of good.

Upon retiring from the heating & a/c business as a certified heat & a/c specialist I decided to do a little side thing as a activity & way to bring in some extra cash in addition to our pension.

I decided on repairing portable heating & a/c component & window a/c’s. When I first started I didn’t think if it was going to work or not. But lucky for me that it did end up actually laboring out. I have our own small little side business going. You would be surprised how several people in our local area have issues with their portable space heaters, portable air conditioners & on chance there are those who still use window air conditioners for certain rooms & have concerns with them too. They all end up coming to me. This isn’t an everyday thing, maybe a few times a week I will get purchasers. But it is pretty steady. I don’t make much money, only a few hundred bucks here & there. I do not charge high prices because after all, they could certainly go out & buy a new portable a/c plan or portable space gas furnace for cheaper. So the method was to make it affordable to have it repaired by me rather than going out & buying brand new portable space gas gas furnaces or portable air conditioners. It is a nice little side activity in our retirement here & gives me some extra money to take the partner out to a nice breakfast once a week!

The last time I had called the local heating & a/c business to come out & provide our central heat & a/c equipment a tune up & check up their Heating & A/C specialist arrived about a half an hour early! This was not expected & it was a good thing I happened to be home. I did not complain though, because the fact that they arrived early was better than being late. At the entirely worst, since they were early, they would have had to wait until the actual time before being able to leave & say no 1 was home. I was actually impressed by the heating & a/c specialist being that early. And I was even more impressed of how well the heat & a/c specialist went & did the heating & cooling tune up on our central heat & a/c unit. It was entirely detailed with no issues what so ever. And I was charged a flat rate, so the heating & a/c specialist could take their time & ensure there was not any issues brewing with our central heating & cooling equipment that would make it chop down anytime in the near future. After all, that is the point of a heating & a/c plan tune up & check up right? So I am entirely satisfied with the repair I gained. I was just taken back a bit at the heating & cooling specialist being a half an hour early. But again, that is not a bad thing at all. It shows dedication & good business actually!

When you are moving to a new apartment there is a lot of things I like to do doing for the move.

Some can be a pretty big headache.

The last time I moved our greatest headache was having to transport our central heating & air conditioner! The movers I hired wanted way too much extra money to transport the central heating & air conditioner. So I had to transport it on our own, which was quite a task. I called on the help of a few friends who happen to work in the trucking business, so they had the component needed to haul this monster central heating & a/c plan to our new home. But it was anything however simple. They had to pull a big truck up on the lawn & then get this super big dollie type thing with a hook to link to the truck just to wheel it off the property! Then from there, they had to transport the central heating & a/c plan up into the truck & then release the dollie type thing. Then once arrived at our new home, it was more or less the same exact process all over again however in reverse. It took well over 3 hours to transport just 1 central heating & air conditioner. Then, the next headache was having to call the heating & a/c business to schedule a time for them to send out 1 of their most certified heat & a/c specialist teams to install the central heating & cooling equipment into our new home. I’m never moving again!
