But if you are using a space heater, ensure you buy one that is safe for indoor use. Avoid plugging in too many appliances and place them three feet away from all flammable materials.

Did you know that if you work just one extra hour at day at your job if you can, that in a matter of months you can start saving some extra money? I didn’t know it either until I tried.

I did my best to combat it. I ended up buying 4 portable air purification systems and I have to say that while it did not completely fix the bad air quality that gets into my home, it did in fact improve it highly to the point where we could all breathe much easier and have little to no allergy type symptoms. If I had the money to invest I would just get a whole home air purification system, but those things are way too expensive for my budget. But the portable air purification systems seem to be doing ok. I spent a few hundred dollars versus thousands and got a similar result. Because when you have this bad of air quality in your area even a whole home air purification system will not completely wipe it out like many think. I found this out from a friend of mine who actually has a whole home air purification system. I go in his house and it is not much different than mine with my 4 portable air purification systems compared to his whole home air purification system. With there being not much of a difference as I found out, I do not feel so bad in not being able to afford a whole home air purification system. I am totally happy with what I have and happy in the fact that it does actually do a little bit of good.

Our local heating and air conditioning company has their HVAC service plan on sale for just this month only.

This is a way for those who do not have a heat and a/c service plan to get interested and buy one from the local heat and a/c company.

I think this was a great idea. I was actually one of the people who hopped on this deal. Because I had been wanting to get a heating and cooling service plan for a while now but they just were too pricey. With it being half off this month for the whole year if you sign up, that was enough for me to want to do it. There are many benefits to having a heating and air conditioning service plan. One of which is to have your HVAC system protected in the event there is some kind of storm that kills it. It will pay for another one without you having to shell out a single cent extra because it is covered under the HVAC service plan. Which this will actually save you thousands of dollars if something like that was to happen. The other good thing is you can get free HVAC tune ups and check ups. Well, not free really, but they are covered under the monthly fee of the heating and air conditioning service plan. This will make it so you save money there as well. There is also ductwork cleaning included in this heat and a/c service plan. All around it is a super good deal at half off the regular price.

 

 

New HVAC systems

This was a good miracle to tell you the truth.

Getting a heating and air conditioning service plan is possibly the best choice I could have ever made. We recently had a tornado in the area I live in and it totally wiped out my central heating and air conditioning system. I am lucky that is all it wiped out! But it was still a bad thing. But because of my heating and air conditioning service plan I did not have to pay anything other than some installation costs to get the central heat and a/c system replaced. This was a good miracle to tell you the truth. Had I not gotten the heating and air conditioning service plan I would have had to spend thousands of dollars to get a brand new central heating and cooling unit. This is why i urge everyone who does not have a heating and air conditioning service plan to call their local heat and a/c company to find out what they have available, and if it covers your central heating and cooling system in terms of damage from natural disasters like tornados and hurricanes I would most certainly go and get on that heating and cooling service plan right away! It could end up saving you thousands as it did me. If you say you do not have tornados in your area, you should think again with the climate change that is going on. It may be just a matter of time till something like that happens in your area as well and it could kill your central heating and air conditioning system! Do not be stuck with the thousands of dollars in HVAC investment.

 

New air conditioning

Upon retiring from the heating and air conditioning business as a certified heat and a/c specialist I decided to do a little side thing as a hobby and way to bring in some extra cash in addition to my pension.

I decided on repairing portable heating and air conditioning equipment and window a/c’s.

When I first started I didn’t know if it was going to work or not. But lucky for me that it did end up actually working out. I have my own small little side business going. You would be surprised how many people in my local area have issues with their portable space heaters, portable air conditioning systems and on occasion there are those who still use window air conditioning systems for certain rooms and have problems with them too. They all end up coming to me. This isn’t an everyday thing, maybe a few times a month I will get customers. But it is pretty steady. I don’t make much money, only a few hundred bucks here and there. I do not charge high prices because after all, they could easily go out and buy a new portable air conditioning system or portable space heater for cheaper. So the idea was to make it affordable to have it repaired by me rather than going out and buying brand new portable space heaters or portable air conditioning systems. It is a nice little side hobby in my retirement here and gives me some extra money to take the wife out to a nice dinner once a month!
