I don’t like to spend money on things that I don’t want.

For example, I don’t like spending money on an eye exam because I hate eye exams.

Unfortunately, I wear contacts though, which requires my eyes to be examined every 2 years. I also didn’t enjoy spending money on a new air duct because I couldn’t see the air duct and it felt like a waste. I knew my heating and air conditioning system was in wonderful shape, but my heating and air conditioning company told me that my air duct was not. In fact, it was in such bad shape that they couldn’t do anything other than advocate that I have it updated, and when I questioned the severity of the situation, the heating and air conditioning company assured me that I was wasting money every second the heating and air conditioning system powered on because the heating and air conditioning treated air wasn’t making it into my house, there were so numerous holes in the air duct that had gone unnoticed for so long that it was irreparable. The air duct was ancient and as far as I know, nobody had ever had the air duct cleaned by a professional. Having an air duct clean is essential because it removes the dust and dirt that’s building up gradually. If the debris becomes too thick, it creates holes in the air duct where the heating and air conditioning treated air can escape. When the air escapes, it’s like throwing currency down the drain. In minor cases, a heating and air conditioning professional can repair the holes. Unluckily, that was not the case for me. I’d have to spend thousands of dollars on a brand new air duct that I’d never see.

When I went to visit my friend’s house for the first time, I couldn’t think how comfortable it was inside, but we both live in the city, which means rent is high plus apartments are small plus stuffy.

Her apartment was small as I expected, but she had it designed so wonderfully plus it felt much greater than it really was.

Besides the size though, I noticed how good the air quality was, living in the neighborhood means a lot of air pollution and smells, her apartment air was clean and fresh. It felt like I was walking into an entirely separate world when I walked through the door. I asked her about the air, plus she commented that nobody had ever picked up on it before, she said the property owner had really replaced the entire heating plus air conditioning plan a year prior plus the air vents were replaced four times per year, this was abnormal for a lot of property owners in the neighborhood because most of them didn’t care enough, my friend also said that she invested in a portable air cleaner. Thankfully the apartment was small, so she only needed one air cleaner. The air cleaner was mighty though because the air quality was impeccable. It was so great that I began thinking about investing in the same air cleaner. I wasn’t sure if it was worth it though because I didn’t have a property owner who took good care of the heating and air conditioning system. However, this was also a strong reason to buy one as well!
