It’s almost getting to the point of a slight obsession.

But I just love figuring out new ways to save on Heating plus A/C cooling.

But that wasn’t always the case. It’s just been a few years now since I entirely got a handle on the Heating plus A/C cooling costs. The greatest change was not turning on the air conditioning until mid May at least. I got that little nugget from a native who has lived here all his life. We just stopped turning on the air conditioning immediately when the temperature is jump over 76 or 68. That’s just Spring around here plus you just love it, and doing so allowed us to get more accustomed to high temperatures which has made a tremendous difference. Increasingly though, I have added to that strategy each summer. I prepped the apartment to be sure that it’s sealed up tight. That might mean replacing weather stripping or making sure the seals around the windows are tight. I also caulked up any gaps I can find on the exterior. Of course, you have to mitigate direct sun heating with shades. This summer time I took it to another level by not using the stove or the oven. I simply cooked outside on the grill for anything that needed to be hot. Additionally, I stopped using the clothes dryer whenever I could. Instead of heating up the house, I started hanging the clothes out to dry. My partner loved that part. And again, all of us beat our savings on Heating plus A/C cooling from the previous summer. I’m going to have to keep thinking up ways to save even more on air conditioning costs for next summer.

I just hit the finish line for this year’s Winter time prep on the apartment and the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment.

I finished up this past weekend which is a full week before my deadline.

I like to be done with the prep on the apartment by Thanksgiving week and that’s right around the corner. From the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment to the rest of the house, I am all about Winter time preparations. So this year, I think I shall make myself an extra turkey sandwich with a huge bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy as a victory lap. Normally, I try to get going on the preparations for Winter time by the time the kids are headed off to university. I get a full winter’s worth of firewood delivered to the house. The two of us have wood stove in the basement which works as both a supplemental and emergency heating method. After that I called Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier to have them come out to do the fall Heating maintenance appointment. This is something I have always been consistent about because Heating, Ventilation plus A/C maintenance pay is off! Getting the fall heating maintenance ensures both the best efficiency and keeping the gas oil furnace in top shape for the load that comes with a freezing winter. In between those things, I go down my list to make sure that the apartment is sealed up legitimately tight. Whether that’s replacing weather stripping or adding more insulation, it’s all about a slender house. We’re just now starting to get the first blast of cold. The gas oil furnace is kicking on and staying on a lot longer now. Soon, we’ll be into the teeth of Winter time and I shall be honestly glad that I am saving so much on Heating, Ventilation plus A/C heating costs due to Winter time prep.

The math was pretty clear.

There were numerous kids but only many living rooms.

Our 2 youngest boys had been sharing a living room inside the residential Heating, Ventilation plus A/C of our home. But that just wasn’t going to work. Having them share a room wasn’t all that bad when they were little. They legitimately kind of liked sharing a room together. My partner and I almost thought that all of us could skate by forever like that. But once the boys hit middle university, we’ve hardly had a moment of peace and quiet inside the central air conditioner of our house. Those 2 boys were just screaming at each other all the time, it was a constant fight. So all of us started looking to perhaps buy a new house. The two of us didn’t look honestly long as it was just way out of our budget. But all of us still needed another room so the only thing all of us could do was add on. But that turned out to be okay because it added significant value to our apartment to add on a master suite. And I am not too aggravated about getting to have a little sanctuary for my partner and I inside our home. The new addition went on to the back of the apartment and legitimately has a cathedral ceiling along with its own private deck and French doors. The two of us also have a lovely master bath that even has a space furnace in it for freezing afternoons. Additionally, I have a ductless heat pump it provides all the quality heating and air that all of us need in our new master suite. The boys now have their own rooms and all of us will be cashing in once all the kids get out of the house. The master suite has legitimately made this place an awesome apartment and we’ll sell it for a lot more than all of us could have before.

It was evident as soon as I walked in the apartment and could see my breath.

• It was that freezing so the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment had been off all day.

Yet, I walked to the control device to see if it had power and it sure did… After that, I checked the fuse box to make sure the breaker hadn’t tripped as all of us have 2 breakers for the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment; But everything was just as it should be. And in my head, I knew I needed to just occasion up the phone and call the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C corporation. But somehow that thought didn’t go from my head to my hands. I hesitated because it was after hours and I knew that that would be an high-priced Heating, Ventilation plus A/C maintenance call. So I decided to see if maybe I could figure out what was going on. Of course, that’s a stupid thing to do and in my head and heart I knew that. If it’s an a/c or a gas oil furnace, that’s the realm for Heating, Ventilation plus A/C professionals. It’s legitimately not a place for a guy who works in the commercial Heating, Ventilation plus A/C of an office all day. But there I was trying to take the front panel off the gas oil furnace. I had no system what I was legitimately looking for but I was just hoping there was something evident. I am blessed because that was right about when my partner came home. She put a stop to that immediately and called the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C corporation. Of course, my partner had study the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C warranty and knew that myself and others messing around would void Heating, Ventilation plus A/C warranty, however plus, he knew full well I wasn’t going to maintenance anything anyway.

Whatever happened to cause that sound from the basement, it undoubtedly got our attention.

By the time I had our robe on, I knew it had to be the gas gas furnace plus I was already cussing myself.

I hurried to the basement as fast as I could. When I got down there, I could smell acrid smoke in the air plus hear the ticking of sizzling metal. I knew that could not be good. It was so frosty outside that there was no way the people I was with and I were getting through the night without some Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C heating. So I went back upstairs to call the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company. My wife met me in the bedroom with a pair of space heaters. I know had it not been in the single digits, the people I was with and I might have tried to get through the night. But she plus I both knew a pair of space heating systems just wasn’t going to get it done. I sure did not want to have the pipes freeze plus have a whole other repair bill for that. So I called for emergency Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C repair plus gritted our teeth. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier took hardly any time at all to get to us. I know she was there in like 15 minutes. I literally only took him about 25 minutes to repair whatever was wrong with the gas gas furnace. What I do know for sure is it was a worn part. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional did pass along that had I gotten the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C heating repair, this would never have happened. I knew this of course when I started cussing myself on the way to the basement because I forgot.

Just like most almost everyone else, I can be bad about taking things for granted. It’s like having a vehicle is just essential plus an expected part of life. When in fact, I could use public conveyation easily. The same goes for the quality heating plus air in our home. I know that I don’t provide enough attention to the residential Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plus I’m trying to change that. The heating plus cooling unit is so essential to our lives plus yet like most of us, I just do not know about it. I’m always too busy being in the commercial Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C at work or dealing with some drama at home. So I just have not been paying attention to the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit the way I should. And with a bit more attention paid to the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment, I could be saving a lot more money on operating costs. And it’s not just the operating cost that are important when it comes to paying attention to the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment, and with usual repair plus care, Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit lasts a lot longer too. So I have tried to start at the basics. I have set alarms across all of our devices to remind me to change the air filter each week. This seems like a pretty small thing to do when it comes to the health of the residential Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C. But along with consistent seasonal Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C repair, changing the air filter is a single of the most important things that can be done, and leaving dirty air filters inside the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit simply restricts the airflow for the heating plus cooling equipment. That makes it work harder putting more stress on the delicate parts inside the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit. So I’m going to be on top of the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C air filter from now on.
