I wasn’t sure I would make it back to the States for the winter holiday, but I think I just secured a roommate to watch my cats so I just booked the flight back.

• If the roommate doesn’t pan out I am still going home and I’l find a way to make it work.

I just need someone to look after my cats and I would need to work some for the local contractor back home to earn some Uber and spending money. I just need to keep my expenditures under about $500 for miscellaneous things like taxis and whatnot. My HVAC rep friend will surely have some work for me to do when I go back so I should be fine with money. Worst case scenario I will pull a few hundred bucks from my crypto wallet, but I would rather not touch it so I will leave it as a last resort. I think with the heating and cooling repairs for my buddie’s company I will make enough money to cover whatever I spend when I am back home. The most important thing of all is I AM GOING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS! I was thinking I wouldn’t make it home and would be sitting in this cold empty flat listening to my air purifier humming and staring at the walls. I don’t think sitting alone during the Christmas holidays would be good for my soul and my happiness. I could sell one or two HVAC systems online and make enough money to cover the whole trip, so I am trying that route too.

It’s that time of year again, time to clean the furnace filter and the other stuff with my HVAC system so that I stay warm and toasty this winter season.

• I bet we will get some days soon below freezing as this morning was about 48F and it seems like the temps are degrading quickly.

This flat is pretty well insulated and the climate control system is fairly new and has a pretty high SEER rating, so I think I will be fine this winter when we get down to those low temps soon. Today is the 20th of November and I will be going back to the States on the 20th of December and will be in the south where the weather will be quite warm. I plan on seeing my new contractor buddy when I go back to see if he needs some help with his cooling and heating supplier business. I’ve been working with him for many years and he has just entered into the HVAC field, which is where most of my experience lies. My dad was in the business too and I worked with him when I was 13 years old and gained a lot of experience over the years from working with him. I started my own local business back in the day doing cooling technology repairs, and I ran it for 10 years before deciding to close the doors to pursue a career in the performing arts industry. There is nothing like showbiz to instill some life back into your heart and soul, and ’m so happy I stepped on that stage back on October 24th 2005!

Today I am going to book my flight back home for a three week visit over the Christmas holiday.

I wasn’t sure I would be able to go back home but now with this roommate moving in soon I will have the money to do so.

She is an orthodontic student in a town about 30 minutes away so she would be gone most of the day and night during the week. I really hope she moves in because she seems to have a similar mindset to me and also has experience working in the HVAC field from years ago. We would be able to talk about AC compressors and hot water boilers and have some things in common. I would be ecstatic to have half of the living expenses shared by someone else as I have been living alone in this flat and bearing the brunt of the bills for almost a year now. I wouldn’t have to spend all of the money I earn from the HVAC company where I work to pay for my rent and utilities anymore and that is just stupendous. I could actually start saving some money again and building a buffer in the bank once more. My heating and cooling system could be maintained properly again by paying for a five year service contract from the local contractor in my town. Money makes a lot of things possible but it is not the key to happiness so don’t give it too much importance in your life story. I wish you luck and remember to clean your washable HEPA filter!

I just got off the phone with a potential roommate and I think she is going to be a great one as she has a good mindset and seems to be upbeat about life

This is my life; writing about HVAC equipment such as electric heat pumps and furnaces, and trying to navigate through life in a fun way. I’ve made it a point to try and live life in a fun and exciting way, and it has proven to be a challenging feat but nonetheless, a fun way to get through life in the end. I don’t want to be one of those complaining people who gripe about how bad everything is in the world. Why even get out of bed if that is how your life is? HVAC systems and electric furnaces are not the most exciting things to write about but I try to enjoy the writing process and have a little bit of fun with the articles. I could be one of those negative people who gripe about how bad their job is, but then it just makes it all the more difficult to do it each day. My life is pretty darn good and I am trying to keep it that way by remaining positive in the mind and in what I think and say. My heating specialist friend got me going with positive thinking and talking many years ago and she also got me into meditation, which has really helped me with patience among other things. How I ended up living out of the states was due to my pursuit of comedy and it has shown me a lot about life in doing so. Life is about living and having new experiences, and moving over here has filled both of those categories quite well. The only drawback is I don’t get to see my family that much anymore and some of them have been passing away while I’ve been here. I am going to book a flight today and get back for the winter holidays for some more experiences in life. My HVAC rep dad isn’t going to be there when I go back home this time for my visit, so it is going to be a bittersweet reunion with my hometown. I will probably get a rental car with a good air conditioner because the weather back home is probably going to be on the warmer side. Another option is to just Uber around everywhere but that could get pretty expensive the way that I bounce around town every day. I may do some heating and cooling equipment repairs when I go back to work for my local contractor friend and then it won’t matter if I rent a car or not. I just want to be with my family when Christmas comes because if not I am going to be really sad and lonely sitting in this big flat alone on Christmas morning. I have a good HVAC system here to keep me warm but that doesn’t do anything for warming my heart, that is my mom and family’s job!

When I woke up today the thermometer said it was 48F outside, while inside it was not much warmer at 58F so I turned on the gas fireplace to warm up the living room and kitchen areas.

My cats were huddled next to each other on the sofa sleeping away when I woke up this morning.

I think they appreciate a little warmth in the morning with my climate control system too. Nobody likes to be cold all of the time. This bubble man from last night, who is homeless, told me he sleeps in this little sleeping back in the hills. Without any heating device he must have been so cold this morning sleeping on that cold hard ground. I wish I could help him but I am barely scraping by myself trying to rent this flat by myself. The heating and cooling bills have been pushing me in a corner trying to pay them, but I am going to have a cool HVAC tech roommate soon and things will be sunny again. It’s just that my landlord said no subletting my rooms, but there is no way one person with my income could afford to live alone here so I am going to have to go behind his back and get a roommate, whatever. I think having someone in the HVAC industry, who is also a good person and professional, is going to be my best option for someone to live with. I will meet with the landlord if he finds out and try to talk him into letting me stay here.

Today is Saturday and I can just feel that the beach is packed with a bunch of nets and people playing.

I wish I had a camera that showed the beach so I wouldn’t have to go down there and look for myself.

I just looked online and they don’t have any cameras showing the beach, frown. I will just knock out my HVAC repair work for the day and head on down to the beach. I will bring my beach chair, volleyball, music, and just have a day in the sand. It is about 68F today so there isn’t going to be a lot of people out there, but this makes it even more relaxing. A lot of local businesses are closed now because the tourists have all left the area and it is very quiet here. I am going to get some wood for later and have a friend over to watch the fire in my fireplace with me. We will eat a nice meal and play with the cats a bit. I think the weather is going to get really cold soon so I may need to fire up my furnace in a few days. My fireplace doesn’t heat up the bedrooms so I need to run the central HVAC system to keep us all nice and toasty while we slumber all night. I am going to do my yoga in a few minutes and then eat that big salad and get on out of here. I’m so happy I turned my heated floors on this morning!
