I had been looking forward to my honeymoon for almost two years. When my husband and I got married, we decided to put off the honeymoon and save some money. We wanted to have the honeymoon we dreamed of, and go to the Bahamas. They advertised these luxury all inclusive hotels that you paid for nothing but the room. Of course the room we wanted had its own grotto, and a private chef. At the rate of $3500 a night, the chef should feed us too, but it was what we wanted. Six days and six nights of pampering. We had the tickets booked for our round trip flight, and a private car ready to take us to and pick us up at the airport. We had sight seeing tours set up and we were ready to go. When we got to the island, I was enthralled with the area. I wished we could afford to live there, but the hotel was almost the cost of a downpayment on the home. Two nights in, there was a tropical storm that took out the power on the island. Like most hotels, the emergency lighting did not include air conditioning. We were sweating without air conditioning, and the ocean was too choppy to swim. We spent some time in the grotto, but that didn’t stop us from needing air conditioning at night. I asked what it would cost if we were to leave early. They refunded our money and gave us a rain check for the following year, in any room we wanted. The allowed us to stay until we could get a flight back home.

Why is it that things always cut at the most inopportune time? Take for instance, about a month ago, our entire family came to see me, so I had about 6 extra people staying in our home! I live in a 3-living room house, so there was plenty of room for all of us! Both of us had our 2 nieces here and they slept on a queen-size blow-up bed; They had never slept on a blow-up bed before, and they loved every third of it; Anyway, while our family was here, the people I was with and I had a bit of a hiccup.

Anyway, I was able to contact a plumbing service the same day the flapper broke and by 12:00 p.m. that day, the plumber was at our house. And in less than an hour, the flapper was fixed. I paid the plumber and provided him a tip – it was money well spent to avoid further aggravation, then happy to report the broken flapper was the only thing that went wrong that week, and our family had a great time while they were here.

When he got to the attic, he came out plus told me I had to call an exterminator. The walls were crawling with bats, plus they carried a lot of diseases. There were holes in the ductwork, plus a bat could fit in a hole that was the size of dime. He commanded that once the exterminator came in, I should have the ductwork repaired, cleaned plus sanitized. I should also have our attic cleaned plus sanitized by a group of professional cleaners the exterminators could point me to.

• I wanted to make sure our home was clean & free of the COVID-19 virus.

The whole-home air purification system was the first step to taking care of that, now that COVID is winding down, I wanted to make sure our air purification system was still running. I liked the clean odor I had in our house. I didn’t near the amount of dust I once had. My only problem now was that ever since our child brought a long-haired dog into the house, there is dog hair everywhere. Not even our media air cleaner can handle the cat’s hair. I talked to our fiance & his solution was simple. He told myself and others to get rid of the cat. His dust irritations were getting worse since I allowed our child to have a dog he didn’t want. I didn’t want to hurt our daughter’s feelings, but I needed to clean our air again. I called the HVAC business, & they came out to inspect the whole-home air purification system. They changed the HEPA air filter, installed a new UV light & did some adjustments to the system, but everything was laboring well. He told myself and others there was just too much hair. I had to keep the dog off the air vents, or get rid of it. It was as simple as that. I told our child she either had to get rid of the cat, or keep it in a pet crate so it wasn’t always kneeling on the air vent. I could not know it when she said she would get rid of it. My neighbor’s child came home from school & was pitching a fit that they gave her dog to the neighbor.
