Why do hospitals have the coldest air conditioning

My grandma has been in and out of the hospital for the past month and a half.

It’s been pretty difficult because the doctors aren’t entirely sure what is wrong with her, and I know the whole process has been trying on her mind, body, and soul.

I have been visiting her about every other day since I work near the hospital a few days a week. One of the things I hate the most about visiting her is that the hospital air conditioning is always so freezing. It reminded me of how cold the air conditioning was in the hospital when my grandpa was dying. My grandma hates it and asks the nurse every single day to turn up the air conditioning. They always tell her no because the AC has to be set at a certain temperature for the entire hospital, and there is no way to change the personal thermostat in each room. I really think each room should have their own thermostat because people with various conditions may require different external temperatures to help their bodies reach homeostasis again. They should also implement smart thermostats so that the patients can have access to adjust the temperature from their bed since some of them are immobile. Sincewe can’t change the thermostat temperature, I bring my grandma extra blankets that she has knit over the years so that she can feel cozy and comfortable. I really hope that they find the cause of her condition soon because I know she has been miserable having to go in and out of the hospital like this.
