We called the Heating and A/C corporation, and they said they would come over the next day.
Being the superintendents of a giant home building, we get a lot of odd repair calls. Last week, one of our home dwellers called and told us she heard bees in her air duct. We had never heard of such a thing, so instead of telling her she was nuts, we went up to her apartment. We could hear some humming coming from the air duct, however we couldn’t hear bees. She told us to get closer to the air vent, and we would know what she was talking about. We put our ears to the air vent, and we listened closely. There was a hum and we could faintly hear a noise that could be a buzz. The longer we listened, the more we heard the noise she was hearing. We started knocking on the walls, but that made no difference in the sound. We thought that if bees could have gotten into the air duct, knocking would make the noise louder, or send a stray bee out of the air vent. We called the Heating and A/C corporation, and they said they would come over the next day. In the meantime, we were going to cover the air vents, but if she had bees in the air duct, the entire building would have bees in the air duct. We told the tenant the Heating and A/C serviceman would be there on the day, and everything would be taken care of then. On our way out of her apartment, we heard some odd noises coming from the home next door. The owners had a toy for the pet that was a buzzing and jumping ball, and it was vibrating through the air vents.
