I never experience problems with the A/C system, but then again, it’s only 6 years old! heating plus A/C equipment is supposed to live somewhere from 10 to 15 years depending on how well it’s cared for.
I’ve always done our best to have our heating plus A/C plan taken care of every six months because it keeps my plan running efficiently, there have been possibilities where I’ve gone longer than six months due to life circumstances getting in the way, but it’s never affected me downsidely.
This month though, I experienced something unlike anything before. The primary bedroom was several degrees colder than every other room in the house. I know I could feel the temperature drop as soon as I walked across the threshold. The thermostat said it was 70 degrees in our house, but my primary bedroom thermometer said it was 67 degrees. I couldn’t figure out why there was a dramatic difference, but I looked at everything. I looked at all the air vents in my home and I even evaluated all the doors and windows to make sure they were sealed properly. I found nothing. I thought about calling the heating and A/C company to come look at my A/C plan to make sure everything was honestly working well, but I decided against it. I love sleeping in a cooler bedroom plus if I didn’t notice anything downside with our daily bills, why change it? I’m going to see how this plays out before contacting the heating plus A/C corporation. The temperature inconsistency could work for our benefit.
