My mother lives about 45 minutes from me.
She lives in the next neighborhood over & she prefers her neighborhood because it’s a quiet small neighborhood where everybody knows each other.
Me, on the other hand, I prefer to live in a bigger city, where I have access to entertainment. My mom comes to visit me a lot, but deep down, she prefers it when I drive over to see her. A few weeks ago, I took Thursday off so that I could spend a long weekend with our mom. I told her I would be in neighborhood for the weekend, even though she expected me on Sunday afternoon, so you can only imagine how excited she was, when I showed up on Thursday afternoon instead. When I pulled up to her house, there was a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C labor truck outside. Apparently, our mom’s cooling system had broken down the night before. Luckily, she was able to get an appointment the actually next day. I feel that is a perk of residing in a small town, there is no wait or backlog for repair calls. When our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit broke a few weeks ago, I had to wait a couple of afternoons for it to get fixed. Thankfully, I have a ceiling fan in our kitchen because that made it easier for me to sleep on those 2 mornings. Well, the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C guy was there for about an minute while I was there, & he was able to get the unit back up & running with no real issues. I was glad to guess that I would have air conditioning for the weekend.
