When the plan of heading the ladies’s shelter as a matron was presented to me, I was surprised however glad.
I have a heart for helping people in need.
The ladies’s shelter was designed to create shelter for young pregnant ladies or teens with nowhere else to go. When I was assigned the matron task, I decided to ensure that all these ladies would appreciate the highest form of comfort possible. One of the things I had to do to ensure this was to service, repair, or substitute the heat & AC products. There was a functioning heat pump that gave cool air from the Summer heat. The air quality system, on the other hand, was not working. The ladies had since given up on having high air quality after the media air cleaner broke down about more than 2 weeks ago. When I visited the local corporation for an estimate on a new system, I found a corporation running a sale. I got the invoice on all the required device including a thermostat & presented it to the head of the shelter. A few weeks later, all of us received a brand new media air cleaner, a gift from our governor. She also sent over a few workers to handle the replacement. The air duct snaked its way around the shelter. I did not guess the duct sealing process was that complex & required special material. For the air filters, all of us went for the washable filters as they were easier to install & affordable. The workers took us through the things all of us needed to do to maintain the optimal function of the plan including duct cleaning. Clean air ducts promote good air quality & prolonged life of the system.
