But the deal was that I was saving more than 40 percent over what the HVAC company would charge me
In my business, it’s important to be on top of things and to be thinking a few moves ahead. This is what I spend most of my time inside the zone controlled HVAC of my office trying to do. That’s the nature of the beast in my industry. And those who aren’t thinking ahead or being creative are the ones who are left behind. However, this strategy or perspective doesn’t necessarily fly outside of the commercial HVAC of the office. And I got a real taste of that fact very recently. The HVAC technician came out to do the HVAC heating maintenance. For us, that’s more like a post HVAC cooling marathon check in as we don’t need much HVAC heating in the winter. Last fall, the HVAC professional informed me that my HVAC unit was pretty much done and he wouldn’t guarantee that it would make it another summer. So I met with the HVAC contractor. He gave me all the information and showed me the different types of residential HVAC models that would work for me. And that’s all I really wanted. After taking good notes, I decided to use my business savvy to get a big discount on the replacement HVAC unit. I scoured the internet for a month or so and found just what I wanted when it came to a discount. It seemed much like the other HVAC equipment the HVAC contractor showed me and seemed to match up with my notes. But the deal was that I was saving more than 40 percent over what the HVAC company would charge me. So I bought it and had it shipped to my house. The HVAC contractor came out to do the inspection and that’s when I bought an HVAC unit that was too small for the air volume in my home.
