My sibling has never been the most responsible woman in our family! Even though he’s older than me, he’s constantly forgetting things, she has no sense of time, & he’s somewhat naive. I enjoy him dearly & she has a lot of other strong suits, but responsibility is just not one of them. When she went off to university for the first time, most people in the family thought that he’d either die or come beach house within a few weeks. We never thought he’d survive on her own. Our Dad had woken him up for university her entire life & she’d regularly been there to keep him on course, but going to university was a true sink or swim situation for him. Somehow, she managed to survive all many years & she graduated on time. A few years later, when she told us that she was purchasing her first house, we were shocked. Although she was slightly more responsible, she still wasn’t thriving. Having a beach house was a large responsibility, especially when there were things enjoy HVAC systems to take care of. When I was helping him transport in, I noticed the air quality was dusty & musty. I thought it was because we were stirring all the old dust up while bringing in packages. When I made a comment about decreasing the air filter, our sibling casually mentioned that she took the old air filter out because it was dirty. However, she never said anything about putting a up-to-date one in. Turns out, she never put a up-to-date air filter in the system!
