I was elated when I received the call informing myself and others that I had passed the interview and would be starting work at the prestigious heating business, i had worked to grow our work and was reaping the reward.
The heating supplier was known to be a giant in the heating industry because of all the projects it had undertaken over numerous years.
The supplier boasted of numerous awards for excellently delivering help with indoor comfort to its patrons and community at large. It was every heating professional’s dream to work there. I was thrilled to be chosen by the many capable candidates. The first morning I was nervous, however I was also looking forward to working with and meeting the experienced Heating and Air Conditioning professionals, after being introduced to pretty much everyone, our manager assigned myself and others the task of preparing oil furnace maintenance guidelines for a task all of us would go for that afternoon… Some required guidelines included the frequency and best time to schedule the tune-up and the benefits. The guidelines were for a customer, so I needed to ensure that the language was easy to understand. Since I knew more about heating, I developed a comprehensive guideline that satisfied our manager. Later that morning, all of us made the choice to go out to the task. It was at a residence in the suburbs. The client had called the heating business who had delivered new heating, including a heat pump and a smart thermostat. All of us would handle the heat pump replacement process and improve whole-house heating. All of us were swift and efficient in producing the service, so much so that the client commended us. I then took the client through the prepared guidelines, and he was impressed and promised to adhere to them, and my first morning at the supplier was nothing however success and a motivator.
