Modular affordable homes weren’t so affordable for me.

My sibling-in-law works for a modular loft production corporation, she drove the truck loaded with a modular affordable home, and she helped set up on the property where it would rest for the next numerous decades.

  • She loved her job and said the houses were easy to set up, but they didn’t build them as well as they could be.

She said it took a team of more than four people to take the modular affordable loft off the truck and put it together, however it came in two pieces and they put them together with giant clips, and once all the trimming was in location, you didn’t think where one section of the modular affordable loft started and the other ended. She said they called them modular affordable homes, but the cost was almost twice as much as it cost to build them, even when you added in the shipping and men’s pay for putting it up on the property. I looked into a modular affordable loft after our divorce. I didn’t want to keep the farmhouse I lived in during our marriage, and I didn’t want to take it from our ex. She provided me a settlement, but I didn’t want to spend it all on a home, then when I saw the price I had to pay for a modular affordable home, I rented an lake house for a while and saved the money, eventually, I would find a loft I honestly liked, and it would be a loft and not just a modular home. I didn’t need to buy a loft within weeks of being divorced.
