Another thing I do to keep my heating and A/C system running efficiently is switch out the air filters.
I’ve always considered myself entirely lucky to not experience air conditioning troubles, I hear horrible things from friends and family members about their own heating and A/C malfunctions and I can’t fathom being in their situations. The home I live in has a great heating and A/C system that I do my best to care for so that I never experience unwanted troubles, then one of the biggest things I do is hire a heating and A/C company to come tune our heating and A/C system twice per year. This is pressing because only a heating and A/C professional can understand the inner workings of a heating and A/C system. I can do all the research I want, but I’m not trained to look at heating and A/C components and I don’t have the expertise to see what’s wrong. Another thing I do to keep my heating and A/C system running efficiently is switch out the air filters. The heating and A/C company suggests that I update my air filters every few months based on the air filters I use and the quality, then replacing the air filters not only keeps my air clean, but it helps keep the heating and A/C component clean as well, but lastly, I clean the outside condenser component with soap and water once per year as well as I keep the sod trimmed around it as it grows. A lot of people forget about the condenser unit, but it’s super important because it’s what controls the A/C system! If there is sod growing around it, it can become stuck in the fans or cause restriction of airflow. I suppose it seems like a lot, but I’d rather do all this than experience any heating and A/C malfunctions.
