I was supposed to get my smart thermostat today, but sadly it didn’t arrive.
I was a bit frustrated because the place I bought it from, the local cooling company, guaranteed that it would arrive in 3 days.
Well, it’s day number 3 and no sign of the smart thermostat. I decided to call the heating and A/C business and see what was going on. I called and was almost immediately placed on hold. After a few minutes of being on hold, I was beginning to feel quite impatient. Finally, after 10 minutes someone finally answered. By that point, I was pretty unhappy. I was planning on complaining, however, the lady that answered was super nice, and so I held my tongue. Apparently they were incredibly busy right then, and had many callers. After I explained the issue, she apologized immediately and looked into the problem for me. It seemed there were some weather delays and the package was stuck in a nearby city. The weather delay is obviously not their fault, but the A/C corporation still apologized anyway. I was given a discount on my next purchase as well, which was incredibly nice. However, the most touching part is I received a letter from them, apologizing to me one more time and hoping that I am happy with the smart thermostat. This is such a sweet gesture, and it was nice to know they cared so much. The smart thermostat arrived the next day and it worked perfectly. I am thinking about using that discount towards an air purifier, but we’ll see.
