I don’t like paying on things that I don’t want, for example, I don’t like spending money on an eye exam because I don’t like eye exams.
I wear contacts though, which requires our esure to be examined every two years. I also didn’t like spending money on new ductwork because I can’t see the ductwork as well as it felt like a waste. I knew our heating and air conditioning system was in good shape, but our heating and air conditioning corporation told me that our ductwork was not. In fact, it was in such poor shape that they could not do anything other than recommend that I have it replaced, when I questioned the severity of the situation, the heating and air conditioning corporation assured me that I was wasting money every minute the heating and air conditioning system powered on because the heating and air conditioning treated air wasn’t making it into our house. There were so many holes in the ductwork that had gone unnoticed for so long that it was irreparable. The ductwork was aged and as far as I know, nobody had ever had the ductwork cleaned by a professional. Having ductwork cleaning is essential because it removes the dust and dirt that’s building up gradually. If the debris becomes too thick, it creates holes in the ductwork where the heating and air conditioning treated air can escape. When the air escapes, it’s like throwing money down the drain. In minor cases, a heating and air conditioning professional can maintain the holes. Unluckily, that was not the case for me. I’d have to spend thousands of dollars on brand new ductwork that I’d never see.
