I had been to the same client numerous times in the last two weeks; They wanted myself and others to do labor on their gas furnace that wasn’t necessary, and i tried to tell the spouse their gas furnace was in nice shape, but her hubby told myself and others I didn’t think what I was talking about.
It was an different situation when people insist they need repairs made when they don’t.
I was used to people telling myself and others I was trying to rip them off & not telling myself and others I wasn’t doing enough; After numerous times, I talked to our boss & told him I wasn’t going back… He agreed with me, & told myself and others it was important that the people I was with and I left them thinking the people I was with and I had nice client service, but there was no helping this couple. Two afternoons later, I got a phone call on our personal phone. The couple had somehow gotten our phone number & were no longer going through the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company. They demanded I come to their apartment & maintenance their gas furnace, & they weren’t taking no for an answer. I told our spouse I would be beach apartment in an hour, & headed to their house. I spent fifteen minutes in their basement, pounding softly on the gas furnace & muttering to myself. When I came upstairs, I offered them a bill for $150. They were overjoyed that I had finally ‘fixed’ their gas furnace. The hubby said he could already assume it getting warmer. I thought they were wacky, but our boss said he had dementia. What I did made him assume good, & allowing them to spend money me, was nice for everyone.
