There are a few surefire methods to get the most out of your heating and air conditioning system.

A good quality heating and air conditioning system is capable of giving you up to two decades of life.

However, that is contingent on whether or not you choose to maintain it well. Here are a few tips when it comes to making sure that your HVAC system is in top shape. First and foremost, make sure that your air filters are changed every 3 months, at the very least. While three months is a good general rule, you’re going to want to check your air filters monthly to ensure that they are not clogged up with too much dirt and debris. Another majorly important to HVAC tip is to ensure that you’re evaporator coils are free of dirt. In order to prevent bad things from happening, you should have an HVAC technician out at least twice a year to do routine maintenance on your heating and air conditioning system. The HVAC technician will check coolant levels, seal any holes in your ductwork, and in short do everything to prevent your HVAC system from acting up!
