He told me I wasn’t going to make it as a dealer

Somehow, however I knew I could make it, I was still sad

It was only the first afternoon of class, plus already I was sad about making it as an Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker. Most of the men who were in class with me, had expertise of Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems. A lot of them had parents or other family members who were Heating, Ventilation & A/C workers, however the only reason I wanted to be an Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker was to save our family currency. My dad was constantly complaining that he could not afford the fuel it took to run the oil furnace. He refused to have the AC unit upgraded because of its cost. Mom made a lot of goodies in the bedroom, plus she would donate them to the church plus other charitable institutions. I suppose half of her baking plus cooking goes to the homeless, but dad never complains. When I told dad I wanted to go to university for Heating, Ventilation & A/C workers, he laughed. He told me I wasn’t going to make it as an Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker, but I knew he was wrong. Somehow, however I knew I could make it, I was still sad. I may not be Heating, Ventilation & A/C material, but I told myself to keep trudging along… By the end of the classes, I had already secured a position in the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier owned by our instructor. He told me I had the position as long as I passed the certification exam. My dad never said a word when I came apartment plus told him, but when I walked away, he asked if that meant I could now service the AC unit for our mom.
