It was worth the price of admission just to see the look on my wife’s face.
That was nearly priceless.
And I hadn’t seen her look at me quite like that in a very long time. But that’s sort of on me. Still, seeing her smile as I whisked her away from the commercial HVAC of her office was awesome. She could hardly believe that I actually put together a four day spa weekend without her knowing anything about it. I even went so far as to contact her boss so the appropriate time off could be arranged. When I showed up with a big smile and an arm full of flowers inside the zone controlled HVAC of her office, she wasn’t sure what to make of it. It wasn’t her birthday and I wasn’t dying. When I told her that I was there to take her for a surprise four night stay at an all inclusive resort and spa, that’s when it started to sink in. Word quickly spread among her coworkers and they were even all stoked for this bit of romance on a Wednesday. Once we got in the car, I made sure the air conditioning was just the way she liked it and I had already prepared a picnic lunch. There was a space outside the air conditioning on the way that was beautifully scenic and perfect for a picnic lunch. But when we checked into our suite, that’s when I was the one blown away. It was huge and had a pair of ductless heat pumps for heating and cooling. Needless to say, that was such an awesome time for my wife and I. And I won’t soon forget that look either.
