When most of my family came to visit at my new home, nobody really complained about anything. I heard nothing but nice things about my house. Everybody liked the size of my home, and the living room was especially nice with the fireplace. My wife talked about getting a fireplace in the master bedroom as well, but I wasn’t sure we should take on such a huge project that is expensive. Instead, I suggested we get an electric fireplace for the bedroom and we wouldn’t have to worry about chopping a bunch of extra wood every winter season. She agreed and we ended up getting that. Anyway, recently, my uncle came to visit. I’ve always been cool with my uncle, but he tends to be blunt with me about everything. When he came into our home, the first thing he said was that the air quality was lacking. He insisted on looking at the HVAC and he said the air filter was dirty and I should be using higher quality air filters. He said I was lucky that I didn’t have children yet because such poor air quality is not good for the health of youngsters. I actually went to a local HVAC supplier not only to pick up some HEPA filters, but I also picked up a couple of UV air purifiers to put around the house so that my uncle would have no more complaints. Once the air quality issues were solved, that’s when he started talking about me needing to invest in a new roof, even though the roof was only 10 years old.
