One of the things I’ll never enjoy doing is cleaning out disgusting air filters. I’m not sure what it is with the indoor air quality around this area but it seems like none of the air filters that I put in our heating and cooling system can stay clean for very long. It never takes long before they become clogged with dirt and grime and need to be changed out. I probably change out my air filters every 2 months, I have friends that changed her air filters only every 4 months. I think that she’s very lucky not having to worry about changing out her air filter too often. For me it seems like I go through air filters far more than I can imagine. It’s like I know them sooner, buy them and then they’re gone. It is for this reason that I started buying them in bulk. I have noticed a lot of heating and AC companies will give you a discount if you buy in bulk, so it’s been a great way to save money and get all the air filters that I need. I just changed out my air filter last week, and so I shouldn’t need to be changing it again, hopefully for at least another month or two. If it lasts well, sometimes it seems like I have more dirt in the house than others and it will get clogged up sooner rather than later. I think what I really need to do is get an indoor air purification system in addition to the air filter.
