The morning started with a damaged air purifier.
- I woke up and the first thing I noticed was the reduced indoor air quality.
That early morning, I had to start with the duct cleaning process that involves cleaning the dust and dirt off the air filters and the air purification system itself. The process took me close to three hours since I also had to clean and replace the washable filters. These activities took me a whole five hours which made me late for work. My day had not started on a good note and it did not get better when I got to work. I was welcomed by the shouts of an irate customer. He had gotten the ductwork installed a few weeks ago but it now needed fresh duct sealing which would cost him some money. The technicians that did the installation were not from the local business and he now could not find them so his only option was to pay new ones hoping they would do a better job. I sent my best servicemen with the customer to assist him. As he left the store, another irate customer came in. He demanded to know how heat and AC products worked because he had just gotten a new air quality system installed and a week later the surfaces at the house were covered in dust. He needed a technician to clean the air ducts and fix the thermostat. I sent a repair worker with the customer to assist with the cleaning process. We also threw in a complimentary tune-up for his heat pump which made him less angry, he even appreciated it. It was long and it seemed everyone was in a bad mood, but my team and I powered through.
