When my wife was kind enough to book my hotel to my trip for me, I didn’t expect the best results. However since my last few trips my wife had heard me complain over and over about how I didn’t like the hotels that I was saying it she told me that she was going to try to find the best hotel that she could look for me. She told me the one that she had for me this time was one of the best I could get but I was still having a hard time being convinced.. I regularly have to travel because of my job and so I’m frequently finding myself on planes and having different meetings all over the United States. This time I was going to a more Southern State. I left the following Monday morning and when I arrived later that afternoon I checked into the hotel. I hold my breath as I prepared to have once again not the greatest experience but as soon as I walked into the doors I felt this whoosh of cool air completely consumed my body. I looked up and saw an arrogant rather than my head the air was so cool and crisp, they must have a great heating and cooling system and they had a good smell floating all of the hotel lobby. Maybe this place wouldn’t be so bad. Got better and better the longer I stayed, not only do they have an excellent heating and cooling system in my room, but they also had great food, comfortable beds, and I even saw that they had standing air purifiers out everywhere to make sure that the indoor air quality was to the highest standard possible. My wife is right she had picked the great hotel and I made a mental note to remember this place so I could come back next time.

 

Indoor air cleaning system

I’m not sure how many times I have to tell my boyfriend but I am not an outdoors person.

My boyfriend recently brought up an idea that he had for a final weekend out and he told me that he wanted to go hiking.

When he said this I asked him if he meant in the woods. He laughed and told me that of course he meant in the woods where else would people go hiking!? I saw I hadn’t told him that he knew I wasn’t an outdoors person and that I couldn’t stand the idea of having thousands of mosquitoes buzzing all around me trying to suck my blood. He told me that I was a simple solution for that and that we could just use some bug spray. He wasn’t too keen on it but he made me a deal and told me that if I went hiking with him then he would go shopping at the mall with me, something that I love to do but he couldn’t stand waiting around all those hours. We agreed and decided that this would be a good compromise for both of us. When we went in the woods I was right there was insects everywhere and the heat was so hot and sweltering that I was picturing my air conditioner right now. I have a ductless mini split AC system and I was just picturing myself sitting in front of it having that cool air cool me off and not having to worry about any of this heat. Unfortunately, it was that same heat that snapped me back to reality. We hiked for several hours before returning home and as soon as I got back all I wanted to do is lay in front of the air conditioning system. My boyfriend thought I was being dramatic but I was really hot.

Last week I agreed to go on a camping trip with some of my friends.

This is a decision that I have already been regretting.

Looking back at it, I have no idea why I agreed to go on a camping trip when I am the least outdoors a person you can imagine. I only go outside when I want to go out to eat or meet up with some people downtown. I never go into the wilderness or anything like that. For me, the idea of going into the wilderness is terrifying. There are bugs everywhere, and predatory animals that lurk around. I know for a fact that there are bears, wolves, and mountain lions in those woods and I don’t want to become the dinner of any of them. So I don’t know what possessed me when my friends asked me if I wanted to go camping that made me agree, but there is no going back now. Tell my friends that I was going to go and therefore I am determined to keep my word and and go even if I know I’m not going to enjoy it. When I did go camping once before, the worst thing about it was the bugs and the lack of air conditioning system. It is seriously hot out there in the wilderness and every time I thought of how hot I was I would also think of how much I missed my indoor air conditioning system. I guess I was unaware of how much I really rely on modern technology to keep me comfortable. I do used to do a few fun things out of trip but it is not an experience I will be doing again.

I have always been an outdoorsman. Ever since I was a little kid my dad would take me hunting all the time and that is what really got me addicted to The Great outdoors. One time, when I was 15 my dad and I built a small cabin ourselves in the woods and ever since then we go and return to that same spot every summer to spend the day fishing. We like to take our own little summer trips that’s just between the two of us and go upstairs and fish for days on end. We will live in the cabin and go out every morning and try to catch as many fish as we can and then roast them over a fire. It is really been a great experience and I look forward to it every year. This year unfortunately was a little bit more disappointing than the following years, we got plenty of fish to catch that’s for sure but when we went to the cabin the indoor air conditioning system wasn’t working. It would have been really expensive to have a track technician install a central AC in the cabin and so my dad when the cabin was built just had a ductless mini split AC system added to the cabin. This works well for many years but most recently it has stopped working and so now until I get a new air conditioning system there was no say AC in the cabin which was not the most pleasant experience because of how hot it gets in the summer. Still, I wouldn’t change going out there for nothing.

I know it may seem like a strange thing to say but I’m always losing my air purifier.

• If you’re wondering how in the world can you use an air purifier because it’s not like it’s something exactly small I will tell you how.

It is not like my air purifier stays at my house and my house only, I travel around a lot and I often visit my parents house and my friend’s houses and so I like to take my air purifier with me. The reason is because it’s not just my home that has trouble with indoor air quality but it is also my parents and my friends houses too. We all live in a similar area and I think it’s honestly just more of the area rather than the indoor air quality itself. We all have very similar heating and cooling systems and yet we all have the same indoor air quality problems and so when I take my air purifier with me everybody is happy because this means that they’ll have clean indoor Air as well. The problem is that because I take it around all over the place with me so often is that I often forget where I left it and then I’ll return home looking for it to turn it on in my house only to find that I no longer have it. I have even had my friends borrow it for a week and I would completely forget that they had borrowed it. This is important because why I like helping out my friends I need the air purifier for my own home. Maybe I will just surprise them sometime by getting them an air purifier for themselves.

It seemed that everything started to go wrong in our home when we were getting ready to sell the place.

We were about to have the house listed on the market when the toilet started leaking on the floor.

I called a local contractor to see what was going on and he said the wax ring was likely compromised and would have to be replaced. So I had that taken care of. Then I thought we were ready to list the house and the cooling system started having troubles. It was nothing but warm air coming from the HVAC vents and I knew this was going to be a huge issue for any potential buyers. Our real estate agent suggested that we go for a new HVAC system upgrade. I was hesitant about doing this because that would be costly and we wouldn’t even be able to use the new HVAC system. The real estate agent discussed the matter seriously with us. She explained how it was true we wouldn’t be able to use it, at least for long, but it was worth the investment because it would make it easier to sell the house. Not to mention, it would add value to the house so we likely would sell the house for way more money making the investment entirely worth it. When she put things that way, I didn’t hesitate to call the local HVAC contractors and we had a new energy efficient HVAC system installed. When people came to see the house, they all really loved the place. We had new paint, new carpeting, and a new HVAC. There really wasn’t anything not to love about the house, we certainly enjoyed it over the years. We ended up selling the house for way over the asking price and we were able to get a nice home in the country after that.

I asked if the 40% actually applied to such a fancy HVAC installation, and he said he thought so but it would be best for me to call them up and check.

I have this buddy of mine who really freaks out when he gets excited. Sometimes it sounds like he’s yelling at you, when he really just can’t contain his enthusiasm. He’s always been like that as long as I’ve known him. I remember this one time when a new video game came out and he was excitedly trying to get everybody to camp out to buy the game at the store. The other day when he called me though, he was freaking out and I thought something bad happened. I thought perhaps his girlfriend broke up with him or something and I asked if his relationship was okay. He said of course it was okay, everything was perfect. I finally heard him say that there was a huge sale going on at a local HVAC company. He said they were doing all HVAC installations for 40% off! He said he knew that I wanted to get radiant heated floors installed in my place and now was my chance. I asked if the 40% actually applied to such a fancy HVAC installation, and he said he thought so but it would be best for me to call them up and check. He gave me the information and the phone number for the HVAC company. He said he was planning on getting a geothermal HVAC installation since he is wild about doing whatever he can to lower his carbon footprint. I thought that was admirable, but I definitely had my eye on radiant heated floors which I thought I wouldn’t be able to afford for another few years. Sure enough, I was able to make the appointment for the radiant heated floors, and I couldn’t be happier about the price! My buddy got his geothermal HVAC and he is constantly talking about it in his overly excited manner.
