Daisy has dyslexia which doesn’t make her stupid, but it is a reading disability. Some people believe that dyslexia makes you stupid, but those people knew nothing about Einstein, or several other geniuses who have dyslexia. Last week, she proved to people that she wasn’t as stupid as they thought she was. Daisy was still having a hard time reading and doing math, but it was because her letters and numbers were jumbled. When she told the mentor at the Heating and A/C school about her dyslexia, she shook her hand and told Daisy welcome to the group. She said she had a horrible time with her dyslexia, and if it hadn’t been for a mentor who recognized her disability, she wouldn’t have gone to Heating and A/C school. She asked her if she had an easier time if they gave her verbal tests instead of written tests. Most of her mentors didn’t enjoy doing that. They just wanted to push her on to the next grade. She told her that whenever there were tests, she would deliver her an oral exam. She also sent her kid home and helped her study. Her kid also had dyslexia. She said they understood what Daisy was going through. She didn’t believe she could ever thank the mentor and her son, until she joined their Heating and A/C corporation right out of school. Without the Heating and A/C mentor and her son, Daisy wouldn’t be where she is now. She owns one of the biggest Heating and A/C companies in their state, and her kid is in line to take over when she retires in a couple of years.
