I thought the Heating as well as A/C service tech was kidding when he introduced himself.
He looked new to me, and I didn’t remember seeing him around.
I asked him if he had recently moved to town? When he told me he came from Mars, I didn’t know what to say exactly. I invited him in and showed him where the broken air conditioner was. It didn’t take too long for him to get to work and get the air conditioning equipment repaired. I was laughing when he came back in and asked if he was drastic about moving from Mars, and he said “yes.” I couldn’t imagine why a Martian would come out with this kind of news. I paid him quickly and couldn’t wait for him to leave. When my partner Cal got home, I was in a tizzy. I told him our Heating as well as A/C service tech told me he had just come from Mars. Cal didn’t assume there was anything wrong with this, and he shrugged and walked off. My mind was going in so several unusual directions, I didn’t know what to do. I called my best neighbor and asked if she had met the new Heating as well as A/C service tech? She admitted she had and said there was something unusual about him, but she thought it was because he was new to town. When I told her he told me he was from Mars, she simply blew it off. I was laughing at myself when I realized Mars was a city in PA. I felt so pathetic and stupid, and I was ashamed to tell Cal I was thinking the Heating as well as A/C service tech came from the planet Mars.
