I was supposed to be with my granny by the 12th, but my work schedule was running crazy.
- I’d not spent the holidays with his in a long time.
So, I promised to get there early & we’d be together on Christmas afternoon. I was already packed to leave on the 11th when my boss called with some news. She was so apologetic since he knew I had a trip planned. However, a sizable purchaser was coming on board, & they were only willing to work with me. Now, I cherish my task, & love my boss who is a wonderful human being. But, I also made a promise to my granny. So, I called his to explain I was running late, however granny wasn’t distraught, & he said I could work because it was an important deal. However, he mentioned he was having heating concerns which had me distraught. We’d been speaking about replacing the boiler in his apartment all year, & that’s one of the reasons I was traveling early, however my plan was to get there, & make sure the heating updatement went on smoothly. However, I wasn’t going to make it on time, so I PCd the heating business. I explained my granny was old, & he was experiencing concerns with his heater. I’d contacted them before inquiring about current heaters, so I told them to go ahead & do the updatement. The heating professional was at his door early the next day ready to work. He’d make sure the boiler updatement went on well, & granny was comfy. I felt better because they had excellent reviews online.
