Although my husband not already had the house where dreams, when ever we went by an open house sign, I wanted to go into the house.
It was one of my little eccentricities that my husband went along with.
Last week, we are going by this pretty little bungalow and I told my husband I wanted to. The first thing the realtor told me was many people thought the house was haunted. I shrugged and told her I didn’t mind not and I just wanted to look at the house. The first place she took us, was into the attic. She said this is where most of the hauntings occurred. I stood there for a couple moments and listened. The attic had a voice of its own. My husband started looking around in all the corners, and I saw the smile on his face. My husband was an HVAC technician, and he instantly knew what was going on. He told her there was so much airflow in the attic, and that the sound of the air coming through the broken ductwork, is where the whistling and the noise was coming from. He pointed out a small fissure where the ductwork has been joined together. He told her that if they had someone come in and repair the ductwork, there would be no more whistling going to the attic. She told us that many people wanted a house that was haunted, which I thought was kind of odd. We weren’t even out of the house when my husband said that we should buy it. He said that all we had to do was repair the ductwork, and fix the windows in the attic and we could make a tidy little profit off the house.
