I called a plumber to fix my broken flapper

Why is it that things consistently break at the most inopportune time? Take for instance, about a month ago, my entire family came to see me, so I had about 6 extra people staying in my home! I live in a 3-living room house, so there was plenty of room for all of us, the people I was with and I had my 2 nieces here & they slept on a queen-size blow-up bed.

They had never slept on a blow-up bed before, & they appreciated every minute of it… Anyway, while my family was here, every one of us had a bit of a hiccup.

The toilet in the ½ lavatory on the bottom floor decided to break. The flapper broke off from the chain, so the water inside the tank kept running. Thankfully, my dad was able to give a temporary fix until I could get a hold of a plumber, and my dad provided to fix it, but I insisted on just hiring the plumber to do the work. The last thing I wanted my dad to do was to fix my broken toilet while she was on vacation. Anyway, I was able to contact a plumbing repair the same afternoon the flapper broke & by 12:00 p.m. that day, the plumber was at my house. And in less than an minute, the flapper was fixed. I paid the plumber & provided him a tip – it was money well spent to avoid further aggravation! Happy to report the broken flapper was the only thing that went wrong that week, & my family had a wonderful time while they were here.
