I just wanted to know why I had to buy a new heating system and get it installed.
I knew I needed a better heating system before winter arrived. What I wanted to know was what went wrong with the old heating system. If it was something I did that needed to change that could have alleviated the situation, I wanted to know. The HVAC tech started telling me about parts and medical terms he wouldn’t understand. I reminded him I wasn’t a Heating as well as A/C service tech and asked him to dumb it down when he started using all those technical terms. Once he mentioned carbon monoxide poisoning, I knew it was serious. The tech told me about the one component where off-gasses were held. When that main component broke, formaldehyde, components and calling them by names I didn’t understand. I wouldn’t talk to him further about carbon monoxide, and all the other gasses that could escape. Instead of trying to repair the broken component, it is generally commanded that you buy a new heating system. I wanted to know why I couldn’t purchase a better one? The Heating as well as A/C service tech told me to buy the component and have it installed, would be almost the cost of a new heating system. There was a good reason why the heat exchanger cracked, and he didn’t want it to happen again. I understood this, and told him to bring us a new heating system. I just wanted to know why I had to buy a new heating system and get it installed. Once he explained, in words I understood, I was okay with it. I didn’t like the idea of having a better heating system installed, because of how pricey it was. I had to have a better heating system, and I told him I wanted to wait a couple of months when last season’s furnaces were put on sale.
