I recently visited a very popular & huge theme park down south a few hours from where I live.
It’s the middle of summer, so it’s theme park season for sure, however it was particularly boiling & humid when my nice friend and I took our trip down there, then high rapidly changing temperatures in the afternoons would reach into the ’90s, & evenings what scarcely did below 70°! As my nice friend and I toured the park I took an interest in all of the weird kinds of temperature control chances that the park used to accommodate guests.
I was curious because I will be going to university very soon to become an Heating & A/C specialist, but the first thing I observed is structures strategically sited at familiar intervals throughout the park that offered shade, but nearly all of these areas also had fans & mist machines. You’ve easily seen these fan & mist machine combinations if you have ever been to theme parks in the summer. It’s a very effective way of cooling off shoppers as they explore the park. I also started to realize that water themed attractions may very well be a necessity rather than merely an option that offers variety. Theme park designers kill two birds with one cement by cooling off shoppers while simultaneously thrilling them with an fantastic experience! Of course, having bathrooms & water fountains at familiar intervals was also very helpful. This is all very nice, however of course one of the greatest allures to taking a cut to catch dinner or dinner is very the fact that the restaurants are nearly all air conditioned, & the air conditioner is designed to be particularly powerful & refreshing!
